Was terribly disappointed in this place. We made reservations prior to even arriving to the island. The only place we HAD to go to. It was our last night, which we were hoping would be special. We were the second table to be seated and sat for over 30 mins to be acknowledged while we watched older, seemingly "richer" people be sat and served prior to us. For reference, we are in our mid-30s, upper middle class, with money to spend.. which we had, every night prior at other random restaurants we stumbled upon. The Caymans have been a bucket list item for me and it was my boyfriends first international trip. We were sparing no expense. I felt like we were treated poorly/ignored due to our looks and/or age. That all changed when I asked for the Sommelier, who was lovely and basically turned around our entire evening. Unfortunately, his efforts and kindness still weren't enough as we already had such a sour taste in our mouths from being treated less than. We took our food, which looked AMAZING, back to our hotel and barely ate it because who wants to eat lobster and steak in their hotel room?
I typically don't write poor reviews, unless I think they're absolutely necessary. I have worked in the restaurant industry my entire life and I have seen judgements that can be passed on others prior to even offering waters. I find this to be absolutely disgusting as your JOB is to create a welcoming and wonderful atmosphere and experience for the customer. I don't believe that the customer is always right, but I do believe in not judging a book by its cover. We WILL be back to the Caymans and our now only MUST, is the Cracked Conch. Judgment free and insanely friendly. Which, outside of LUCA, seems to be the Caymanian way. If I wanted to get sub par service for overpriced food, I would have gone to Paris.
Do better LUCA. I...
Read moreWe discovered Luca’s Restaurant through a search on our maps, and after reading the glowing reviews, we decided to give it a try. I’m so glad we did because Luca’s did not disappoint—in fact, we ended up dining there three nights in a row!
The prices were very reasonable, and the quality of the food was outstanding. One of the highlights was their homemade pasta, which was incredibly fresh and cooked to perfection. Every dish we ordered was bursting with flavor, showcasing the care and attention they put into their ingredients and preparation.
What truly set Luca’s apart, though, was the impeccable service. The waitstaff went above and beyond to make our dining experience memorable. They were attentive, friendly, and made us feel right at home.
As an added bonus, we were able to watch the sunset from both inside and outside the restaurant, which made the ambiance even more special. If you’re looking for a restaurant with great food, excellent service, and a beautiful setting, Luca’s is...
Read moreWe were so happy we stopped in for lunch. Being the non-peak time of year we had an outside table overlooking the pool, beach and ocean. And there were only 3 other diners! The food - sensational. It was the best meal we have had on the island. Impeccable service and the prices were surprisingly very reasonable. We started with complimentary breads which were great but we didn’t have much in case it filled us up too much. I had the tomato soup with Parmesan shaving and fresh basil - so fresh and rich and delicious - $7.
Then came our main courses of fresh house made pasta, perfectly al dente. Seafood linguine with mussels, clams, lobster, scallops and prawns. Fettuccine with lobster and prawns with a spicy tomato sauce. We couldn’t believe how much seafood there was, it was so fresh and perfectly cooked. They were $21 each.
Go there, you won’t be disappointed. If we’d gone at the beginning of our vacation we would have gone back several times and worked our way...
