I absolutely loved Palm Heights. It came recommended by a friend who comes here often and now I understand why. I will be the first person to tell you that I am a bit of a snob when it comes to accommodations and I love staying at 5 star resorts. So my expectations are high and I am willing to spend the money to have a truly great experience. So let me tell you all about PH… ||The hotel is small and has a very boutique feel. It is gorgeous and well maintaned. The staff are super attentive, friendly, and truly make your stay one of a kind. I had a few different mishaps since the day I arrived, and the staff at the front desk made sure to rectify the situation and take care of it every time. Big shout out to Danielle at the front desk - so so sweet and so helpful and just understanding. She really helped me on my second night when it was late and I had another issue with the room. ||By the way, the rooms are very nice. They are all very different and uniquely decorated. The bathrooms are huge and spacious. I experienced three different rooms so i can tell you that they only get better and better. The beds are comfortable. The pillow menu is delightful. And the mini bar is like a super deluxe mini bar with 2 different fridges with a TON of drink options and then a pantry full of snacks. They even have face and eye sheet masks in the fridge which is a wonderful idea for after a hot, sunburnt day to cool and hydrate your skin. Turn down service is twice a day and you get to pick the time slot for them to come that works best for you. ||The beach is stunning and you will always find a chair available to sit at. There is no fighting for chairs or having to wake up at the butt crack of dawn to snag a spot. The two pool were usually empty and had plenty of space to be at. The kids staying at the hotel seemed to love it and were usually there. But it is fine because there is another pool adjacent that you can have all to yourself should you choose to do so. The servers on the beach are extremely attentive and always coming around to take your order or bring you water. Not sure how the other reviews said it was hit or miss. For us it was constant but not overwhelming. They also come around with little free drinks which was so nice. And cold towels too which are such a nice touch when it is so hot out under the August sun. ||The FOOD is delicious. To be able to stay at a hotel for several consecutive nights in a row and not have to leave the property because the food is so good and there are so many options is rare. Tilly’s earns the rave reviews it has. I am a pretty big foodie and I was very happy with everything I ate there, on every occasion. The beach food options are also all great and the fish is super fresh. ||The bar at the Coconut Beach Club is great for an afternoon drink. You can get free drinks during happy hour from 5-6 PM (they make a drink on the house every day and it changes daily). And their little speakeasy Bar Bambi was beautiful. Make sure you stop by there for a drink as well at night. ||The gym area is amazing. If you like to work out, you are in for a treat. Every machine you need is there. They have indoors and outdoors. They offer classes every day that are complimentary and then some that have an extra fee like pilates (reformer! Not mat!). The spa is okay. I did not have the best massage there, and the facilities were a little strange considering the rest of the hotel. I did not try the water circuits or the pool at the spa so i cannot comment on those. I just found that the dressing rooms smelled funky. The waiting/relaxation room was a dark small space. And then the treatment room itself was underwhelming and unprepared. The massage itself was just not for me - and I also had a mishap with the booking of the actual massage. I went in and asked for an earlier time slot on the day of my treatment only to find out they never actually booked my treatment. So had I just shown up at the later time, I would have been SOL because I wasn’t in the books. ||All this to say, Palm Heights is definitely worth the spend. I will be back for sure. And if you are looking for reassurance on booking this property, here...
Read morePalm Heights: A Caymanian Oasis of Luxury, Revisited This was our second visit to Palm Heights in Grand Cayman, I came last year in 2023, and this time again reaffirmed my belief that it's truly an extraordinary hotel. Every aspect of my stay exceeded my expectations, surpassing even my previous delightful experience. Palm Heights in Grand Cayman is more than just a hotel; it's an experience. From the moment I stepped foot on the property, I was enveloped in a serene ambiance that perfectly captured the island's essence. I live life to the fullest and this place sure does know how to show us a good time!! I am living with Stage 4 Metastatic Breast Cancer that has spread to my lungs, hip, spine, ribs, and lymph nodes, that is terminal. So I cherish moments like this place, it's by far my wife and I favorite places to go. I was so relaxed here. Trust me, it NEEDs to be on the list of places to go while here in the Grand Caymans. The Hotel: Prime Location: Directly on Seven Mile Beach with the warmest, clearest, beautiful waters, Palm Heights offers unparalleled ocean views and easy access to the island's attractions. Shout out to the awesome staff who showed nothing but professionally warm hospitality during the entire 7 days we were here. Luz and Manuel!! This place does not offer butlers but by the sort of quality care they provided us during our stay, you would have thought it was a service. No matter the question or request, it was always met with love, courtesy, and respect with a smile. I truly admire them and what they do, I know it isn't easy dealing with a multitude of personalities, and for them to be so consistent in their quality of care, I can't even express my gratitude in words. They even remembered us from the previous year, super cool, and that made us feel extra special!! Luxurious Accommodations: The suites are impeccably designed, my wife and I stayed in the Penthouse Oceanfacing Suite on the 5th floor, room 506, blending modern amenities with a touch of Caribbean flair. I REALLY loved my flower bouquet and snacks upon entry. The attention to detail is second to none, ensuring a truly indulgent stay that still feels like we're right at home. World-Class Amenities: The hotel boasts a stunning pool area, a state-of-the-art fitness center, and a spa that offers an array of rejuvenating treatments that are breathtakingly beautiful. I got a massage and my wife got reflexology and it was beyond our expectations. I love the heated tables, relaxation room, soft rob, and soft foamy shoes. I loved how we could order drinks and food at the spa and how we had access to all the amenities as a guest. My favorite in the spa was the mineral pool and nice large jacuzzi with soft plush outdoor seating. Shout out to the amazing staff there at the spa. If you want a massage with buttery soft pillowy hands, request ALL of them but I had that experience with Jeet!! She honored my request of being gentle but firm and I liked the survey on areas we need more attention and areas to avoid. Since I have cancer, I am a delicate flower and she hit the RIGHT spots for sure!! My wife enjoyed his reflexology service with Monique!! Anita and Sharifa were super hospitable and made coming to the spa each time a delight and joy. They were so personable and respectful. They are truly captivating.
The Service: The staff at Palm Heights went above and beyond to ensure that my stay was even more memorable than my first. I have already listed the staff that assisted us during our stay. They were consistently friendly, attentive, and always willing to assist with any request. Their dedication to providing exceptional service made me feel truly valued. Overall: My second visit to Palm Heights confirmed that it's one of the best hotels in Grand Cayman. The combination of luxurious accommodations, impeccable service, and stunning location makes it an unforgettable experience. If you're looking for a truly special getaway, Palm Heights is an absolute must. Love- The Drakefords...
Read moreThe Palm Heights hotel was perfect for our R&R trip. | |We were there with my wife and I plus two college aged kids. The service was perhaps the best we’ve experienced ANYWHERE in the world. The hotel staff would pay attention and make little adjustments. It was waaaay beyond just remembering what we liked to drink, or where we liked to sit on the beach. They heard us talking about champagne, and our room mini bar miraculously had upgraded champagne it. Everyone was so friendly and authentic. Occupancy during our week was up 80% to low 90%, so this was not an aberration. We frequently tipped for superb service and it always seemed appreciated but never expected.| |Rooms were spacious, quiet, and comfortable. We were on the 2nd floor, Room 201, at the very end. Quiet and easy to access. Closet space is limited but you don't need much in the Caribbean. ||We were concerned that Tillie's restaurant might get tired after a week but it was great. Complimentary breakfast was a great way to start the day, plus you didn't have to be an early riser to enjoy it. Open until 11A (I think). ||The almost-at-the-beach-bar, The Coconut Club, was related and breezy. It seats maybe 24 but never was full. Daily happy-hour specials from 5-6 were fun.||The on-site pizza place, Paradise Pizza, is great for a casual night in…plus their full menu is available from the other restaurants/bar…though not well advertised. ||For dinners on site you want reservations -- really only to get better seating. Beach sunset dinner's are spectacular at Tillie's. It just takes a bit of planning. Nice wine list, typically priced for a resort like this.||All the staff were incredibly friendly. It went well beyond the Four Season’s obsequiousness up to you; it felt genuine. Most of the guests were American. A couple of Brits. (We were a bit surprised that there wasn’t a more international crowd. A well kept secret.)||Mykonos steakhouse (off site) was fabulous. We went a little crazy with champagne there, but you felt transported to Miami or Las Vegas. Very expensive but well worth it. Food and service were spectacular.| |There is a karaoke night at the hotel on Saturday night (I think). We didn't participate but the shenanigans continued to 11PM or so. Just be advised on that one night it was a noisy fun hearing some good (and bad) singing! Otherwise, the evenings were quiet.| |We think that the British influence in these Caribbean countries makes for a great vacation with good service, reliable infrastructure, and a comfortable environment. For example, we never saw the poverty or the seedy side of the island, which you sometimes trip over in Mexico, or other Caribbean islands. | |I would recommend the VIP meet and greet on arrival and departure. I just helps speed things along. Totally optional. o. ||We chartered a boat to swim with sting rays, snorkel, and check out the star fish. It is OBLIGATORY to go and was lots of fun but very touristy. Duh. We knew that going in. Still fun, nevertheless. Sometime you just have to do the touristy things because they are, well, for tourists! When else are you going to get to handle sting rays (which are so velvety soft!) (We had the hotel pack a cooler with picnic lunches for us with beverages. Great call.)| |Super special trip booked at the hotel with one of the dive instructors: we snorkeled on a reef that was 50 yards off the shore, right near the downtown area. If you didn’t know about it, you wouldn’t believe it. We're novices and it was perfectly fine. We literally swam from the shore to the reef! Beautiful. ||We saw two giant cruise ships (oxymoron?) but didn’t see the people…thankfully. Important safety tip, try to plan your in-town visits (and that to sting ray city...) when the cruise ships are NOT in port.||Transportation was easy. Cabs available within minutes...
