Some friends recommended this placed to try the famous "terremoto" drink. So we went and tried it, and man was it delicious! The bar itself is definitely a bar, with sort of a run down sports bar vibe. But I think that's part of the reason people go. Apparently the price for the drink has gone up because of tourists but we tried it for 2700 cp and it was worth it! There are two kinds, sweet (red) and bitter (yellow) and we got the bitter one. It's not really bitter, it's just not overly sweet like the other one. We split one and felt tipsy. It'll get you drunk so know that going in! Definitely worth a visit.

Firstly keep aware and take care of your valuables in the general neighbourhood, in fact probably best not to take any, The bar is fantastic be brave just go in, you will be fine in, the legendary 'Terramonto' Earthquake cocktail is just 2700 + tip 300 = 3000. Our waiter was Ricardo (Richie) he was fantastic and speaks good English his dream is to go to NZ to work one day, anyone who can help help him? Now the warning from your dad, only ever have one Earthquake and don't have any Aftershock Cocktails, you have been warned! Remember you have never been to Chile if you have never been ti La Piojera

Tried the three different variations of "terremoto": the original that's perfectly balanced, the one most people order with grenadine (red syrup), and a mint version called "maremoto" (yummy but very strong mint flavour). All topped with pineapple iced cream! These are delicious but heavily dosed with alcohol that you don't taste because of the sweetness. In my opinion the original one is the best, as it's the most balanced but still quite sweet! For all three it was roughly 11,000. Definitely recommend!

I simple don't understand why there is people who rated with 1 star this place... The name means what you're going to get, if you expect a fancy common place there are plenty of those all over the world. What makes this bar unique is it's weirdness, you'll find people from all over the world, dress properly or not, poor/rich, honest/dishonest, etc. Nobody cares about the images and you can enjoy local drinks and food. There is no music because eventually an artist will come to play for everyone.

This is a place of locals in the heart of Santiago’s central market. It is a extravagant place, with an incredible decoration and a very short, straightforward menu. Food is really good. It is a very nice place, where you get yourself to know a place where Chileans go. They say the area can get a bit dangerous late night, so be aware. You can get there by metro, the main door of the place is right on the Caio and Cal metro station, 15 seconds walking distance.
