On our last day in Santiago we decided to try out the local Chinese dim sum restaurant. Found this restaurant on Google Map with a 4.2 rating with seem-to-be good variety of dim sum dishes. Very disappointing. The chicken feet had a funny taste and the peanuts were rancid. The pig stomach was tough and tasteless. Both were not fresh. They were days old. The noodles a were passable but not authentic. The saving grace was the congee with thousand year eggs and pork. Tasted ok and the portion was generous. The decor was dusty. One big minus was the location of the restaurant. We were warned by the Uber driver, the restaurant waitress and a Chinese passerby that was not a safe neighbourhood with robberies in broad daylight. So, what to do if you don't read Chinese? Everyone who works there speaks Spanish. Tell them you want to order dim-sum. If you eat pork, ask for the Char Siew Pao (a fluffy dough with a sweet/savory filling). If there are 2 of you, ask any Chinese staff at the restaurant to recommend another 5 dim sum items.
