My aunt and I came to Gong De Lin for dinner. We had the set menu for two, which included about 5 dishes, some of which are pictured (not very good photos sorry). My aunt lives in Beijing and has an app for the set menu FYI. Meituan. I’ve not used it myself and am unsure if I’d have access to it.
The food was done well, excellent taste and texture. Atmosphere was good, old Chinese architecture. Toilet is small and a squat toilet FYI.
Main letdown was the service. The servers were hard to wave down, despite it being quiet at the time. He asked for a review as soon as the food arrived, before we’d had a chance to try it. It took ages and he took a photo of my aunt’s review which I think is part of his job, and it seems every place we visit, people ask for reviews in exchange for a drink or snack. My review is not part of that.
