I am very glad that we picked this hotel for 7 nights from 26 Apr to 3 May 2024 among all the hotels in the city. The architecture and decor were simply stunning and the location of this hotel was very good just at the start of Wangfujing street. The metro station is just located right below the hotel. The warm wooden colours of the entire hotel including a decently sized room of 50 sqm radiates a luxurious feel - a home away from home atmosphere. Daily breakfast came with the entire stay with a choice of items from a menu (both local and western items) as well a self help buffet spread. ||As this was our first visit to this amazing city with its rich history and culture, we ran out of time in the hotel as we were out during the day and did not get to try their tea appreciation session. The good thing is that all attractions are nearby including the forbidden city and its just a short metro ride. We dined at the one star Fu Chun Ju restaurant and the food was outstanding. The only downside is that the price was rather high compared to the rest of the one star eateries that we had experienced in the city. ||The mini bar in the room was also free and came fully stocked and they even provided snacks and candies. As its also a celebration for wifey's birthday, upon check in we were greeted with a lovely bouquet of flowers and a cake. The only downside was on the morning of day 2, we had a power outage in our room and were in total darkness, we managed to shower and dress up before heading down to the lobby for assistance as the room phone was out. As we were heading out, they gave us another room and we moved from level 6 to 7 when we came back on that night. Was hopping for an upgrade of room but it did not happen, but nevertheless, I would highly recommend this hotel. The staff was very friendly, helpful and were fluent in English. Wifey and I will...

Read moreOur trip to Beijing was more than special and the main reason was the place we chose to stay at: The Puxuan Hotel and Spa.We felt special from the minute we stepped into it, no, actually, from the minute we made the reservation. They made sure to provide all details we needed in order to feel very comfortable. They asked for our pillows preferences and booked our airport transfers on the price range we indicated as appropriate. We booked two rooms, one for our boys and one for us. Both rooms were finely and beautifully decorated and bed and bathroom were perfectly functional in every corner. For their two daily services, the housekeepers seemed to knew our likes and needs in every single detail. (They provided cable management clips for our phone chargers and eye glasses cleaning cloths, and I have never had those details taken cared of before) Sister with The Puli Hotel and Spa in Shanghai, The PuXuan Hotel and Spa in Beijing is undoubtedly the best Urban Resort I have ever stayed at. Brand new and part of a growing group of luxury hotels, The PuXuan is the best place to stay when visiting the capital. Located in a walk distance from the Forbidden City (we had that view from our room) and in the best shopping district of Beijing, this hotel is for sure one of the most modern hotels, finely decorated and with the most friendly and professional staff! The high end Spa offers exclusive treatments and greatly trained staff. The two restaurants had high gastronomy and great food, one of them is a Michelin star restaurant and both offered spectacular and fast service. On our second morning, they knew we wanted a cappuccino and a glass of ice water, we didn’t need to tell them, how great is that? So, service was perfect the whole time! It was overall a...
