Words cannot describe how incredible this place is. We were choosing between the MO Wangfujing, Aman Summer palace or here and we are SO unbelievably happy that we chose to come to the Quianmen. We were absolutely blown away by the beauty of the hotel and the standard of service from start to finish. ||The hotel is located within a traditional Houtong and blends seamlessly with the local area. There is a main building housing a reception, Tiao bar, a lounge and the joining spa. But the other restaurants and the ‘rooms’ are separate buildings within the original Hutong which have been impeccably restored to create luxury living spaces. ||We had room 8-7 which was building 7 in alley 8 of the hutong. It had only been completed 10 days previously so we were some of the first to stay there. The building was shaped like a square around a small courtyard with a bathroom, bedroom, living room and office space on each of the 4 sides. There was also a small patio area to sit outside. The rooms were appointed to an exceptionally high standard and the amenities were wonderful, including a personal wash bag, nightly treats and gifts as well as everything else you’d expect from a 5* hotel. The minibar had free soft drinks, beer and wine as well as chocolate. ||Breakfast was included and was so lovely. You can even order breakfast in your room via WeChat at no extra cost. Or you can eat on the outside balcony of vicini overlooking the hutong rooftops. ||We spent time in the spa, Tiao bar and also ate at Vicini one evening which was some of the best Italian food we have ever eaten (and we’ve just come back from Tuscany!) ||The service in the whole hotel was unbelievable. We can’t think of anywhere we have stayed that has been better. Vicky our butler was AMAZING. She was on-hand for every little thing & always knew our plans so she could help us with directions, advice about tickets & reservations. We communicated with|WeChat and we always felt like she would be available to help us out if we ever needed it while sightseeing. Her thoughtful notes and gifts in our room every night were so uplifting and lovely. ||Also thank you so much to Akim who helped us with sightseeing tickets, Didi orders and managed to get us last minute reservations at duck de chine for some fab peking duck. ||To be honest every single member of staff from the reception, bar staff, concierge staff and cleaning staff all deserve huge praise. Every single person helped to make our stay so wonderful. ||The MO have done something very special with this hotel. If you are lucky enough to have the chance to stay here, don’t hesitate. It will be the experience...
