This was the second Burger King to open in Beijing back in 2010, a country which is mostly saturated with outlets of McDonalds, KFCs and Pizza Hut restaurants. There are now 12 Burger King outlets in the capital with 21 in Shanghai, 3 in Guangzhou, 8 in Shenzhen, plus a few in other parts of the country including Nanjing, Zhongshan, Suzhou, Wuxi, Hangzhou, Shaoxing, Xiamen, Xian, Tianjin, Yan'an and Foshan.
The menu is a little different from that seen in the west. There is no beanburger or vegeWhopper, though there is a fish option, known as the Ocean Catch in the west. Milkshakes are not sold which might prove disappointing for some patrons.
Overall the quality is good, restaurants are clean and the price is reasonable. Service is good, though most staff do not have any understanding of English and the menu is often only displayed in Chinese, though dual translation menus are becoming more common.
