Vege Wonder 山河万朵 is a 1 Michelin star restaurant ⭐️ and one of the most high–end vegetarian restaurants in Beijing.
Don’t think that vegetarian dishes will be simple – the ingredients that Vege Wonder uses are not simple at all. The frozen squash is imported from the highlands of Yunnan – this is a rare ingredient that I have never seen before. Matsutake mushrooms are steamed for more than 3 hours, the delicious flavor is further enhanced by the chef’s skillful preparation. Vege Wonder even soaks and dries the foods separately so that diners can taste different flavors.
Dining here is the first time I have seen bamboo charcoal used to make tempura. I never thought that sweet potatoes and rice vermicelli can be processed into such exquisite dishes – from the appearance, nutrition to the taste, all are beautiful. Presented in Aegean style, sweet potatoes are wrapped in bamboo charcoal, sprinkled with crispy rice vermicelli. With its soft, chewy, crunchy texture, sweet potato is taken to a new level. The staff are enthusiastic, the process and serving time are carefully controlled, and they introduce the dishes in great detail.
Vege Wonder has everything from appearance to taste and nutrition. The presentation is very artistic, the taste is smooth and fragrant in the mouth. A tip is that if you want to eat, you must book a table in advance since the ingredients are not available, so the dishes need to be planned and imported at least one day in advance.
