I visited TRB twice, both on business trip. The personnel of the restaurant attended very carefully everything I asked through e-mail even before the visit: from recommending menu with seasonal food to the adjustment of the place, the most fabulous private room with the whole glass wall so that we could enjoy the beautiful patio while having lunch. The first time I visited TRB, I was bombarded with impressions of how sophisticated each plate was because although it is a french restaurant, they always added some oriental touch so that you can feel that you are in the very heart of China. I strongly recommend TRB for business occasion with foreigners, because some people find it hard to have every meal in Chinese style. It is important to highlight that they have great vegetarian menu. Moreover, it is a perfect route if you visit the Forbidden city. When I visited TRB last month for the second time, whole personnel welcomed us as a family and it was like coming home. Just like when your grandmother prepares all the food beyond the quantity you can digest, TRB surprised us not just by the perfect quality of every plate with fresh seasonal ingredients but also those little surprises of desserts. If I go back to Pekin in the future, it is because I want to visit TRB again. People say that it is hard to find the restaurant since it is located in Hutong but we did not have problem since two kind managers of the restaurant were waiting for us at the entrance of the street. It took me quite long time to write this review but it was because once people read this, I hope them to visit TRB. You will never be...

Once inside, we hesitated to order because of the very classy furniture & upscale decorations ( not normally upscale type diners out!) We were given a complimentary champagne toast & a welcome hors duerve followed by 6 exquisite ordered servings (3x2). All were surreal including the flatbreads, butter, foie de gra, grava lox (chef compliments) sea urchin, halibut, eggplant, cheese plate, and a complimentary lemon mousse' with writing in chocolate sauce "Welcome to Beijing." Every serving was "melt in your mouth" quality. Cannot say enough, this was not just fine dining, it was a memorable experience to remember for a lifetime. The staff had impecccable manners & courtesy, even giving my wife a hug at the door after leaving!!! Worth the $$$$ by far. Visited on Monday, 08-13-2018. Service could not be surpassed! Incredible time we had. Where's the Michelin...
Read moreI took time to find a good place to eat in Beijing! Wow! All the recommendations were so correct! This is a place you have to visit. In the middle of the Hutong, a veritable flavour of delights. The building itself is a beautiful reminder of ancient China and then you are greated with, what can only be explained as the best from China. From the moment you enter the staff are warm, welcoming and friendly, but not over conspicuous. The food is a delite on the taste buds, accompanied by some great wines! Which by the way we did not order, but we're given as they were a better accompniament to the meal than our choice. This was a brunch, where we were able to savour the numerous delights in small portions. I can not wait to go go back and enjoy the delights of the "al la carte" menu or any other that are offered! Thank you TRB for a truly memorable dining...
