莲香楼 — Restaurant in Guangzhou City

For our first meal in Guangzhou, we decided to dine at 莲香楼 (Lin Heung Tea House), a Cantonese restaurant that has been serving customers since 1882. Since we arrived after 4 p.m., we missed the dim sum service and opted for dinner instead. The char siew was absolutely delicious, and the pork intestines packed a flavorful punch that required some rice to balance it out. Many tour groups will be brought to eat here. They have different menu for tour groups and regular walk-ins. Regular walk-ins are ok, but the menu for tour group is terrible.

High-rating Cantonese restaurant that doesn't taste good. Recommended by many but their foods are not as good as the recommendations.

Poor service. They even charge if you want to use their restroom.

I honestly don’t know how people can rate this place any lower. This is one of the best dim sum places I’ve had thus far. This is located close to Changsou Lu station . I don’t think I’ve ever had such amazing dim sum so far. It’s pretty much a standard setting place.
