Formosa Autumn — Restaurant in Hong Kong Island

Today we went to a Taiwanese restaurant in Quarry bay after hearing some good words about it. Let's see what it has to offer.

We go there at around 8 and it's quite packed inside. We were about to get in without waiting.

The first dish we ordered is the tofu with Chinese egg. The sauce is quite unique with a very distinct flavor. The portion is quite large which can easily be shared by 2-3 people. Highly recommend this for starter.

The second dish we ordered is the chicken pot. I'm super happy and satisfied that I've ordered this since this is by far the best and most authentic one I've had in Hong Kong. The chicken is so tender and flavorful. As you can already tell, the portion is huge too. This is a must order if you happen to go here.

Let's get to the pork belly rice. Since I've been to Taiwan numerous times and this is by far my most favorite dish, the one I had today surprised me. They really made this right in the most authentic way. The pork belly is packed with flavor and the fatty paired with the sauce and rice perfectly. The best one in Hong Kong so far.

Lastly, we have fried cabbage with mini shrimp. It has done its job balancing out the hold meal.

If you happen to go to quarry bay, you should definitely tryout this restaurant. Absolutely amazing Taiwanese restaurant. Current mood: Missing food...

Home Style Taiwanese Cuisine The location of this restaurant is not obvious. It is located in a side street. The food not only tastes good but also has a large portion. Also, the price is very reasonable which is cost-effective. Fried rice noodles is simple but delicious. Crispy salted chicken is juicy and rich.
