I LOVED the room so much, I was in the habour-view corner room (30sqm) and was at first worried there will not be enough space. I had a medium sized luggage and a carry-on luggage and there was AMPLE walking space, although it might be a little squeezy if there's 2 occupants. Listing down what I liked:
The filtered tap! At first I thought the lack of bottled water would be a con, but it ended up being so useful, I drank more water as it tasted better than bottled mineral water Natural sunlight coming into the open concept bathroom makes for easy make-up application vs harsh bathroom lights in some chain hotels No carpets (except around the bed), the wooden floors feel clean to step on barefooted THE VIEWS. I was on 25F and it was great Access to Taikoo MTR and a huge mall at your doorstep. Cityplaza is linked to 1F of the hotel The rain shower was great I even loved the table and chair combination, it was comfortable to sit on and felt clean (vs dusty old desks in chain hotels) I know the open shower was cited as a con in most reviews but I personally LOVED easily reaching for my face wash by the sink I loved that they provided pump soap instead of bar soaps. The toiletries are from Appelles and do not have harsh SLS. My hair was a little dry by day 3 though Thoughtful housekeeping! She noticed I kept untucking the sheets at the bed ends, and left it fully untucked on day 3 The slippers were so plush and comfortable The 2 flick switches by the bedside for the bathroom lights and bed lamps were so thoughtful I loved that the toothpaste was provided separately, I personally always bring my toothbrush with me and hate ripping into a new set of dental amenity kit just to take the small toothpaste tube out. I brought along my own tube of toothpaste on this trip but appreciated the separate packaging. There's no other amenities provided (e.g. cotton pads etc.) but I never use those anyway Quiet in the morning and at night
I was picking between The Ritz and this and I'm 100% so glad I went with the EAST!! One gripe I have is that the entrance is abit dark and as such I couldn't see myself well in the full body mirror, but other than that this was a great room that I'd be happy to...
Read moreAttracted by its intriguing name, I decided to give EAST Hotel a shot, and let me tell you—it was love at first sight! As I stepped into the lobby, the warm color tones wrapped around me like a cozy embrace, instantly setting a delightful vibe. I noticed some locals lounging in the coffee shop, deeply engrossed in their books, creating a scene that was just too “dope” for words. The atmosphere was electric yet peaceful—a perfect balance.Entering my room was like stepping into a little slice of magic. In a city known for its tight spaces, the room felt surprisingly spacious and inviting. It was clear that the designer had put in serious thought and creativity to transform the compact space into something quite remarkable. Every corner had its purpose, leaving me in awe!Just down the street, I discovered a giant shopping center bursting with life, plus an array of food and drink options that could make anyone’s taste buds dance. Whether I craved street food or a chic café, choices were abundant, making it a foodie’s paradise. As the sun dipped below the horizon, I settled into bed, soaking in the view outside my window. With the city lights twinkling like stars spilled across the earth, it made me feel like I was gazing upon some poetic scene straight from Shakespeare's quill—“With yonder light, the fair Hong Kong shines like a jewel in the night, offering solace to the weary traveler.”In the end, if I had to sum up the essence of travel, I’d say, “The journey opens our hearts and minds, revealing the true beauty of the world before us.” EAST Hotel perfectly embodied that sentiment. I can’t...
Read moreMy stay at EAST Hotel in Hong Kong was truly exceptional. The room was incredibly spacious and thoughtfully designed, with particular attention paid to practical details. I especially appreciated the wide ledges between the bathroom and the main room, a simple feature that effectively prevented water from spilling onto the floor – a small but significant detail that speaks to the hotel's attention to guest comfort. The bed was wonderfully comfortable, and the pillows and bedspread were equally luxurious. One of the standout features was the filtered drinking water piped directly into the room, a fantastic and eco-friendly touch that made staying hydrated effortless. The cushioned ledges at the bay windows, overlooking the stunning harbour, provided a perfect spot for reading, packing, or simply relaxing after a long day of exploring. The gym was impressively well-equipped, catering to all fitness needs. Breakfast offered a good variety, although I would have loved to see Hong Kong's signature milk tea offered as a unique local option alongside the standard coffees and teas. However, the rooftop bar more than made up for this with its creative cocktails featuring local flavors. Connectivity was superb, with direct access to Cityplaza mall and the train station right from the hotel's first floor, making exploring the city incredibly convenient. Overall, EAST Hotel provided an amazing and memorable stay. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for comfort, convenience, and a touch of local flair...
