Came by tonight with out-of-town parents, we were eager to try this restaurant after reading numerous positive reviews. While the food was indeed unique and tasty, the service was subpar and it did not meet our expectations. From the moment we placed our order until we received the bill, it felt as though we were inconveniencing the staff.
One staff member, who appeared to be the hostess, was particularly rude and dismissive when we inquired about the various dishes being served. After we paid the bill, she approached us and requested an extra HKD 6 for the takeout container in a harsh and impolite manner.
When my mother needed to use the restroom before we left, the same staff member ignored her request. While I understand that she may have been focused on clearing the table for the next guests, her demeanor left us with an unpleasant impression. Overall, the experience was disappointing, and I hope the restaurant can improve its service...

I cannot find how different 陳皮燒肉魷魚肉餅 ($88) is as compared with 鱿魚肉餅($65). No 陳皮 and 燒肉 taste at all!!!! Same case as 蝦膏海蝦煲仔飯($78 vs set lunch $65).
Rice in clay pot is not the usual type found in Hong Kong. It is just some fried rice in a big clay pot. The soup is in an exceptional small bowl and easily spilled out even delivered by the waiters. Everything including the drink is in a rather small portion and not hot at all. Good if you are on diet. We also ordered dumpling which is claimed to be a signature dish. It is nothing special except pricey ($48 for six).
The waiters and waitresses are in smart uniform. One of them seemed not able to understand our order and the others continuously delivered the wrong food to us. Only one lady is smart to follow up on our...
Read moreBetter flavors and more accessible (in terms of booking and space) than other seemingly renowned private kitchens on the island. Not only have the Cantonese classics (such as 排骨鸳鸯肠粉、墨鱼饼、猪润炒蚬) but what really was nowhere else to be found was the peppercorn hand-made noodles (椒麻三鲜刀削面)and hand-shredded chicken (手撕鸡). I would really drive here for takeaway of these two dishes next time!
More importantly the service is top notched and serving size is generous. Let’s forget about the private kitchens that you have to wait for a few months for. Why would I fall into their traps of scarcity marketing when the food is not scarce and better at Kam Tung Kitchen? Last but not the least, corkage only at HKD100 for those...
