Café Bohème TKO — Restaurant in Hong Kong

My family and I recently arranged a party at your restaurant for our child and a few of his friends. We had serval adults and a few children under 2. As it was a bday party, we thought nothing of bringing cakes with us. We had two.

The staff were friendly, the food was good, everything was great until we got the bill and were charged 300HKD for the cakes. No staff mentioned to us there was a charge for these. Not only that, all your restaurant did was store them in the fridge for an hour and put them on plates for us. We decorated them, put the candles in and lighted them, and we cut them had shared them on plates which were already on our table. In addition, one of the cakes was a very small two person cake for the young children to eat.

So can you please explain how you can justify charging us 300 dollars for this? We have been to other restaurants in HK where they have given us free cake on birthdays, and yet you're charging us 300 dollars for bringing our own.

We use to like to come here as a family after a bike ride. They have changed the menu and also changed the food portion recent couple month. The pizza is visibly smaller with the same price, salad potion was smaller as well. And couple items that I used to think is really good is no longer on the menu (such as octopus salad). The place used to be always full Sunday evening, but it was definitely not as happening as before think people have also noticed the quality/value deteriorating. Hope the restaurant can see this post and make some improvements, otherwise it will be a shame to see a good spot...

Today I took my child for steak, it's already our third time there. The steak is extremely delicious, especially the blue cheese sauce. Due to my carelessness, I spilled the coffee and broke the milk cup. The waiter quickly cleaned it up for me and immediately made another identical cup of coffee! So thoughtful! My child said they were so kind! I only know one of the waiters is named Jan, and the other thin guy who helped me clean up is unknown.
