This is perhaps one of the worst siu mei restaurants we have ever eaten in. We said even pork jerky feels more juicy than their char siu. It’s also tasteless other than the overly sweetened glazing. Their BBQ goose was not so dry, but equally tasteless other than the MSG used in the marinates. Ambience: The service is top-notch for Hong Kong—staff are very friendly, attentive, and provide a seamless lunch experience.
Food: The food is simply outstanding. We enjoyed the goose, char siu, and the crispy roasted suckling pig, all of which were expertly prepared and absolutely delicious. Each dish was flavorful and showcased the restaurant’s mastery of traditional Cantonese cuisine. The daily soup, which changes every day, was a comforting and delightful addition to the meal.
Final Thoughts: Chukfo Taipan is a must-visit for anyone looking for exceptional Cantonese food in Tai Po for very reasonable pricing. The combination of exquisite dishes, warm service, and a refined atmosphere makes it a five-star experience all around. Highly...
