Hin Ho Curry Restaurant Sai Wan Ho — Restaurant in Hong Kong

Avoid! This place does not live up to its rating and was very disappointing. They literally incentivize people to write positive reviews for a discount. My guess is it has switched hands and/or no longer run by the same chef. I’ve walked by their other location and a staff member was standing outside trying to get customers (bad sign). This time too and I should’ve known better. At least those that read this can save themselves of the same mistake.

The Tandori Mixed Grill was not fresh and the consistency felt like it came out of a microwave - wet and nothing like how it should be if it was cooked in an oven. Stomach is now churning in some discomfort as I write this.

The rice was dry and probably cooked for a better half of the day.

The garlic naan was okay but nothing extraordinary.

The Methi Gohst was the better of the dishes but couldn’t make up for the rest.

For a currently 4.5 star place, Hin Ho does not deliver at all and I will not be returning. The food is really not good for a place opened since 2000. The service and everything else was fine. Really a shame because it could have been...

Came here for dinner after seeing the reviews, but saying I was disappointed would be an understatement. The interior looked really nice, but the food was okay (at best) especially when you look at the prices, and the service was poor.

The waiter did not remember our order correctly, and changed it without permission after coming back to confirm with us once already. We ordered lamb samosa (4 per dish), but they changed 2 of them to veg samosas without asking us first because they “ran out of ingredients”

We ordered the yogurt pani puri, and they forgot to serve it. We didn’t want it anyways, but didn’t bother to cancel it and decided to take it when it does arrive, which it never did. When it came time to pay the bill, there was no acknowledgement of that being on the bill despite it never arriving, so I’m not sure if the staff were trying to intentionally scam us out of the 48$ by hoping we forgot about it and won’t notice it...

Went to this Indian curry resto, which was once famous, with my family. . All if us ordered the lunch set, which included the soup of the day, a main course, a choice of rice or naan and a drink. The soup tasted quite plain.

I got Squid Curry with naan. The squid was chewy and thickly sliced, and it absorbed the curry sauce well. The naan was hotly-served, and esp appetising to have with the curry.

My dad and my sis ordered Mutton Rib Madras. It smelled aromatic, yet the portion seemed a bit small.
