It was the worst dinning experience I have ever had in Mongkok.
Salad and soup are served as the appetizer. The salad dressing is way too sour while tasteless borscht is the only choice of the soup, which is absolutely disappointing.
4 different set are ordered. The steak ordered should be medium rare. However, it turned out to be medium well while the texture is quite chewy and without juice, reflecting poor quality of beef used. Sadly, the side dish, be it potato mash or vegetables, are also tasteless as the soup served.
Another main ordered was the barbecue pork rib. It was normal but the garnish was also not seasoned.
The third main was a thick pan roasted pork chop. Again, it was overcooked, greatly reduced the juice storage of the pork chop.
The fourth dishes, which was the most disappointing one, was the smoke salmon truffle risotto. The rice were overcooked. It should be called congee instead of risotto. Hardly can you find the salmon while the truffle smell was missing. Moreover it was too oily that still a layer of oil remained on the dish after it was finished.
To conclude, never ever try this restaurant as it is not worth spending over 1000HKD on tasteless and overcooked...
ย ย ย Read moreThis restaurant was a new experience for me as it used to be a different establishment that I really enjoyed. I decided to give it a try after reading positive reviews online about the dining scene in Kwun Tong. To my surprise, even on a weekday night, the restaurant was bustling and filled with patrons.
The price range at this restaurant is relatively high, around HKD 300 per person. On this visit, I ordered the Beef Wellington and the Tom Yum Chicken Pasta. The pasta had a unique flavor, with a Thai twist. It was my first time trying such a combination, and I found it quite intriguing. As for the Beef Wellington, it may not be as perfectly executed as those from high-end restaurants, but it was generous in portion and provided a satisfying experience.
The dessert was decent, with a few highlights. However, I found the macarons inside to be overly sweet and difficult to enjoy. The texture of the desserts was average, with some...
ย ย ย Read moreCame here for dinner with a large crowd on a weekday. Food was oily and lacked decent taste. We took a couple of combinations from the "DIY Pasta" menu. The spaghetti in Onsen Tamago Alfredo sauce quickly filled one guest up after just 3 bites. The Tomato sauce angel hair tasted so sweet that felt like Heinz was used. Even a few pasta dishes came that had clams which had gone off! The lady at the front had a poor attitude when greeting us and was incredibly impatient with a misunderstanding about our online booking. But the servers on the floor were very polite and took good care of us throughout. Dishes from this set menu cost between $158 to $178. Those on the a la carte come in at anything between $1xx to $3xx. I find these prices shameful considering the quality and lack of professionalism that goes in them. Despite the great waiting staff it's still is not enough for me to return...
