I arrived at COZi Harbour View Hotel on 29 August. I am still deeply shocked about the insane rules at this 3 day quarantine hotel. Hotel management has set up rules that may be appropriate for a prison but not for a hotel for which I have paid a significant amount of money. ||||A special arrival area for quarantine "guests" is set up on the ground floor level of the building. Every wall is covered by plastic sheeting. There is nothing that resembles a welcoming hotel lobby. Arriving in my room on the 31 floor (this has a very nice habour view), I found nothing but 10 x 380 ml water bottles together with some paper cups. No tea bags, no coffee bags, no glasses or porcelane cups for drinks, no nothing. ||||The dinner pack (3 x food per day is included in the quarantine deal) was delivered to my door. I pre-ordered vegetarian food. What I got were a handful of small vegetable pieces in a disgusting tasting brown sauce (mainland style food). Looking closely, there may have been a few pieces of tofu within the sauce...and rice, of course. The taste of the dinner meal (as well as the breakfast meal delivered next morning) was so bad that I decided to pour it into the toilet after having tried a few pieces. The quality of the food was at a level to be expected during a stay in jail but not while staying at a hotel. The food supply is obviously outsourced to the lowest priced bidder.||||I brought my own supply of coffee and asked the hotel staff to provide me a porcelain cup as the paper cups are not really suitable for hot coffee. This request was denied two times by front desk staff.||||Sleeping arrangements: The mattress of the bed is enclosed by a layer of plastic sheeting, just like for people who cannot hold onto their body fluids due to a severe illness. There is a thin cotton sheet put over the plastic. The pillows are also enclosed by a thick layer of plastic with an outer thin cotton layer. Did you ever try to sleep in a bed with plastic foil sheeting? It is quite sweaty!||||Just talked to the hotel manager on duty and she said that all the above is due to government regulations. Hmmmm...decide yourself if this is credible. She finally offered a coffee mug as special deal just for me. Thank you! Still waiting to receive it.||||I am looking forward getting out of this insane hotel, hopefully...
Read moreAbsolutely lousy service. We stayed there during our quarantine, from the time of our arrival the staff behaved rudely and never answered the phone calls, we had to use our mobile to call the hotel standard line to talk to them, after that they even stopped responding to that. Had to call the GM and talk to him, but that did not help much. If you have an option to stay somewhere else, you should not stay in this place. The food served was always cold and repeated the same for breakfast, lunch and dinner. We had selected vegetarian option, in the name of vegetables what they served was corn and carrots in each and every dish, every meal. Disgusting. After complaining to the GM and duty manager , still nothing changed. There is no provision for tea or coffee, when we asked for it, they said that the health department has asked us not to serve in the room, what a joke, i have done quarantine in HK in 4 different hotels prior to this, all provided. There are no glasses in the room, only paper cups, thats how cheap they can get, forget about the cutlery, which is provided in most of the hotels, it was present in all the 4 hotels where i stayed prior to this. Only 4 water bottles are provided on the first day, after that you have to keep begging them to send some more and then they will send only 4 and then again ask the next day and on and on. They want to show you that you are at their mercy and they will treat you the way they want, as you have already paid and there is no way you can leave the room and go. Kind of a hostage situation and they are exploiting it to the fullest. This hotel should be banned from getting the quarantine hotel permission, it does not deserve to...
Read moreWe stayed here for our 7 day quarantine only bec this was the last 2 Rooms left and the size is decent. However we first noticed that the bed was really TOO HARD that it gave us both black pains every morning and the carpet was not vacuumed at it has so many strands of long hair (we both had short hair) . We called the hotel from just before 11 am but someone answered only just about 4pm. Yes, 5 hours we kept trying to call them bec we wanted to borrow a vacuum cleaner at first and bec our lunch wasn’t served. I reported this poor cleaning condition to the Food and Health Bureau, the agency designated to list the quarantine hotels which has not replied back to me as well. I also wrote to the hotel with no reply. When someone finally took our call, that’s the only time I managed to complain to the duty manager Peggy who was giving me excuses when no one could pick up the phone from front desk to operator and housekeeping for 5 hours. I asked to refund me for the meal they skipped (during Father’s Day) but instead I agreed she gives us some bread, pastry, coffee and juice for the remaining days bec their breakfast, lunch and dinner would almost everyday have the same chicken with the same sauce and vegetables😞🤦♀️. Only the menu stated it differently but the chicken is always cooked the same.I couldn’t eat the same dish and vegetables anymore after the 4th day. AVOID OR DO NOT...
