Extremely rude service attitude!
I went into this restaurant at 11ish in the morning, the middle aged waiter (maybe the owner not sure which) was playing with his phone but the restaurant seemed open. I asked him politely whether the restaurant is open or not, and all I got was a cold face that made me feel like I was an intruder. He gave me the menu, and I asked if the curry on the menu is spicy or not, basically he just responded that I should refer to the menu. There is no indication in the menu for the level of spice so I ordered something else.
Cold and disrespectful face all the time I was there. I have never come across any ridiculous service attitude like this, and I do not think I was rude or anything to the waiter. I am a Cantonese and a local, and I consider them to be worse than most restaurants in Hong Kong. Despite the fact that the food is good with reasonable price, the experience is extremely off-putting.
There are way more nicer restaurants with good service attitude and good food in Sai Kung. I would suggest others to go somewhere else especially the Sai...
Read moreJust finished dinner there with my colleague. The food was fine but the lady in Thai costume was very rude. I asked her where the washroom was. She answered me with her chin pointing to a coner. Then I saw the toilet. I tried to open it but failed. I looked at the key hole and thought maybe it required a key from the shop to open it. So I turned arround and asked in English since I wasnt sure if the lady could speak Cantonese. I asked 'Is there anyone inside the toilet?'. She didnt event look at me and answered in a very iritating tone, and most importanly, in Cantonese 'The door cannot lock itself. There got to be someone inside to lock the door'. I was affended after hearing her reply. I wasnt trying to show off my English. But her rude reply sounded like she had second thought about my intention of asking in English. Though the food is acceptable, I will not go and dine in the same...
Read moreSome of the best Thai food around! It's a near-ritual at this point to bring newly arrived Thai people here, and they are happy to sing the praises of this place as well. The slightly better plating, more convenient seating and enjoyable views, as well as the opportunity to sit outdoors gives this place the your hand to it's sister restaurant in Sai Kung. Sitting here with some good Thai food and a Singha is very close to the feeling of actually being...
