Hey guys, let me tell you a fun story of this restaurant, on 9th May 6pm. I was trying to get a roast piglet from this restaurant, as I was speaking to the counter, the woman (assumed gender, if we request, we can change that) said that for baby piglet, if you need the piglet to be chopped into pieces, they will charge you $100hkd (if they just cut the piglet in half that counts too). I was thinking, what about the adult pig? Or chicken? Did they price of choppy choppy included or excluded in this restaurant ? As I was having a cloud of thoughts, they threw another service - boxes. Long story short, in every takeaway boxes (container) they have used, the price goes on top. In this very point, I have realised a thing. They thought I was a tourist. They didn't know that my family root was actually Sai Kung locals. From other chat to other customer who has previously bought the same piglet, these "services" never exist! So they are trying to scam a local for that! Smirk. Oh. Btw, if you are a foreigners (not living in Sai Kung - TKO counts as foreigners okay?! Same as any other places in HK, dont questionme on this! They make this rule), you would be paying the food - $988 hkd, choppy choppy $100 hkd, boxes $20 hkd each box, so you would be looking at $1288 hkd, math is wrong, but they like the rhymes as easy to get rich in Cantonese. Dont ask why, they make the rules. You think that was made up? I thought i was dreaming until I have heard them saying that, yes it is correct! They will charge you every little things they can think of! May the scam be away from...
Read moreMy brother brought me to this restaurant for dinner during our visit to Hong Kong a week ago. We ordered 5 dishes including roast duck & soy sauce chicken, Yeung Chow fried rice, roast Tufu, Yui choi (veg), and the soup of the day. I am a food critic, especially on Chinese food. I would say they were all authentic Chinese food and delicious. Only the roast duck and the chicken seemed to be a bit thin without much meat, and I would escape it, especially for their price. The service was excellent. The place was reasonably clean. Overall, I would return to this restaurant during my next visit...
Read moreThe good thing about this restaurant is you can buy fresh seafood from the boats docked at the pier and bring them over for the chef to cook (at a charge of course). We had 9 adults and two kids and was split run to two tables. They were fast to serve the food and staff were attentive. By 9pm the place was so quiet until we thought they were closing. Guess that’s sai kung on a sun evening.
Area for improvement: we pre ordered the goose but it was very fatty and small. I think there are better...
