I've been following this dessert shop since its original spot in the nearby alley. The owner, Nelson, is a one man band but doesn't take shortcuts with his dishes. His Chinese almond dessert soups are always freshly made, which is well worth the wait -- I do enjoy observing him adding the final touches with edible flowers in his semi-open kitchen. My favourite dish is the steamed almond soup in fresh coconut, which comes with a cup of the remaining coconut water as a starter. The almond soup in papaya is also a surprising delight! If you like durian, I also highly recommend the musang king...

Was in the area, felt like having some chinese dessert and decided to try 賀記. The owner was very friendly, knowledgeable and laid back. The shop is decorated in a minimalistic way. When you are inside, it made you feel very relaxed. I tried a few of the desserts and the owner definitely put some thought and effort in the presentation and choice of ingredients. The almond dessert was perfectly balanced in flavour - without the overwhelming almond taste that other places may have. The durian pudding was also very fragrant and could tell it used good ingredients. Overall very satisfied and worth...

Hookee is a gem. It is an artist full and delicious place to enjoy traditional Hong Kong desserts, as well as high end delicacies. The durian pudding is a highlight with the beautiful presentation and delicate taste — using Malaysian durian, the sweet and savory flavors come out in a delicious combination! It is a must come destination with Nelson being a gracious and kind host! I will definitely come here again!

They also have the essentials of black sesame sweet soup, red bean soup, and almond...
