Read moreAmong so many restaurants in the Plaza, my friend chose this to have a quick lunch at 3pm with me. I arrived after 2pm something because my friend said usually had a wait line outside but turned out no and I can be seated at the time of arrival. Everything went out smoothly, my friend arrived on time, ordered, food came nice and quick, except the female server kept watching us with a weird and unrespectful looks in her eyes. I wondered if it's due to I didn't make any order because I was still full and didn't feel like to order yet. She kept watching us and even came to ask if we had anything to order. This is not a normal practice in HK because servers come on request of the customers. She then came for the second time without being asked to and told us that it's time for us to turn in the table because I had been there for more than 2 hours! I don't know there such a rule when I was there and I didn't see any waiting line outside. Obviously she's not happy about my not ordering anything. Actually I was about to order, but because of her attitude which gave me a rather bad feeling, I just asked for the check without adding anything to order. Very disappointed at the service and conduct of business by this restaurant....
Read moreMy recent visit to Simply Life Café was a disappointment. I ordered the Benedict eggs with salmon for lunch, but the dish was a letdown. The eggs were overcooked and messy.

Given the subpar food and dismal service, I don't plan on returning to Simply Life Café anytime soon. It's a shame, as the location in Popcorn seemed quite promising. But the execution just fell flat on this visit. I'd suggest the management look into improving both the kitchen and front-of-house operations to provide a better experience for...
