Nha Trang Vietnamese Canteen (TKO) — Restaurant in Sai Kung District

Extremely pricey lunch set for mediocre food.

I've been here a few times before a few years back and had positive experiences, so when I was meeting some friends around TKO, we decided to drop by and have lunch.

They were offering a lunch set for $98 and up, which includes one dish plus one drink. I ordered their shredded chicken pho, and my friends both ordered their beef pho (+$10 per bowl).

When I received my set, I was disappointed to see that they didn't offer any basil, or any other fresh herbs for that matter. The broth smelt and tasted of chicken bouillion, and the only components within were a few strands of beanshoots, the rice noodles and a few shreds of chicken. I am not a big eater but even after demolishing the bowl of noodles, I still felt unsatisfied. My friends also did not rate their beef pho well, but at least they got some basil to go with...

With the bill adding up to around $340 incl the 10%, we all left feeling somewhat hungry and ripped off, at the end needing to head to a bakery and grabbing more food. Needless to say we won't...

I recently visited Nga Thanks Restaurant in Tseung Kwan O and had a disappointing experience. Upon arrival, the waitress seemed nervous and seated us at an uncomfortable table in a busy area, despite the restaurant being mostly empty. When we requested a different table, she refused.Throughout our meal, her attitude was unwelcoming, and the staff frequently slammed dishes around our table, contributing to an unpleasant atmosphere. Food was ok. But Waiter and waitress should learn how to respect to guest. I was fasting for 20 hours. Then I went there to order 2 vietnamese Banh mi. Then waiter keep joke about my 2 sandwich. He say. Wow you finish two sandwich and talking with her colleague about my sandwich. After that. I order Coke Zero. He say to his colleague. Eating 2 banh mi and order zero coke ?
