PizzaExpress (Tseung Kwan O) — Restaurant in Sai Kung District

The quality of food has gone down tremendously. The dough balls were cold and dry as if they had made them long ago and didn't reheat them properly. We have never had dough balls of such poor quality. They had always been hot and soft when being served. With regard to the pizzas, we ordered the special Devil Mala Crayfish and the Sicilian sausage and spinach pizzas. Both pizzas were served cold. The biggest disappointment, however, was with the Devil mala crayfish pizza. It was not spicy to the slightest. Whilst we understand that spiciness is a rather subjective matter, we were simply commenting on the level of spiciness of the mala pizza with respect to the Calabrese pizza which we get every single time. Regardless of how one may find the heat of the calabrese pizza acceptable to various degrees, it is a pizza that has an element of spiciness to it and it is marked as “one chilli” on their menu. The devil mala crayfish was marked as “three chillies”, but the pizza we had was purely sweet. It was not even spicy, let alone expecting it to uphold the three-chillies level of spiciness. We asked the server if the "correct" spicy mala sauce was used and asked the server to try the pizza. Her response was only that there was not an issue with the pizza and it was definitely spicier than the Calabrese, despite the fact that she didn’t try the pizza. The pizza tasted as if the base was covered in the sauce used on the Peking duck pizza. We do wonder if there has been a change in their dough recipe or it was just that the dough has gone stale because of the lack of customers. The texture of both the dough balls and the pizzas were completely different to their normal standard. The whole meal was more than a disappointment. Most staff are unfriendly to delivery men and most of them are young. It's quite sad to see. The reception is usually empty and I remember one time I had to call someone to help as a female staff yelled back to me "you come inside and pick the meal yourself! (你自己入嚟拎)"，another time when I walked myself into and walked pass the cashier and spoke to the male staff I was here for delivery and he looked away and turned his head to another side instead of kindly pointed the way where should I find the pizza. They are really rude, lack manners and respect. Remember we are guests and...

Went to Pizza Express this morning around 0840 to have take away breakfast. Had a very bad experience of the catering service. The man in the photo should be the waiter or manager. He is rude with non-respectful gesture. He is unwilling to service, not attentive to welcoming customers. There was no customers in the restaurant but I had to wait for more than 15 minutes for a sandwich breakfast. Would the head office of Pizza Express please check your team to improve. Never...
