Terrace in seaside (Kai Tak) — Restaurant in Hong Kong

Happy Friday! I went to the new shopping mall, Airside Trendy Plaza, with my friends, and then we had afternoon tea at Terrace in Seaside. The restaurant has a fresh and modern concept, featuring unique tatami seating. Through the floor-to-ceiling windows, we could admire the twilight sky and the mesmerizing clouds drifting by. It was truly satisfying. 🥰

❥ Sweet Citrus Waffle ($98): The waffle had a slightly crispy exterior and a moist texture inside. The smooth cream on top was delightful, but the highlight was the refreshing citrus sauce, which gave the entire waffle a clean and non-greasy taste.

❥ Tiramisu 🥃 $58 It has a rich aroma of coffee liqueur, and the texture is moist and not overly heavy. It's like sipping a fine liquor, absolutely fantastic.

❥ Red Bean Matcha Milk ($52): The matcha flavor was rich and paired well with the fragrant and sticky red beans. A touch of crushed ice helped balance the heaviness of the red beans, resulting in a refreshing drink.

❥ Jeju Orange Cheesecake ($68): This cheesecake had a rich orange flavor that was both sweet and refreshing. It had a light and fluffy texture, and on top, there was a large Jeju orange. I highly recommend capturing a photo with it.

💬During the opening period, there was already a long queue of people, so be prepared to wait in line. Also, it's advisable not to wear a short skirt as some of the tatami seating areas may be slightly cramped.

Went there two times, and ordered the dinner set with fried chicken but both times, they do not have the supposed fried chicken. Not only that, the service was mediocre at best. Staff does not seemed to be trained at all, as they always chat and use their phones even when there were food ready to be served! The rice in both the bulgogi bibimbap and the grilled pork belly with perilla leaf and rice were too hard. The orange and yogurt drink was HKD68 and tasted so so, not thick like I imagined. I could also taste the orange pulp. The waffle in the kids meal was soft and fluffy, if you’re going to this restaurant I would just recommend the waffles. For the seat you had to take off your shoes and sit a bit like tatami style. However, it could be uncomfortable for some people. The staff do ask you if those types of seats are okay before...
