Khao Tip Thai — Restaurant in Islands District

This used to be one of my fav weekday lunch places which I normally visit once in 2 to 3 weeks.

However, the lunch order is always delayed nowadays. Today, we (2 people) have already arrived and ordered at 12PM to avoid the crowd, at the time when I placed the order, there were only 2 tables.

My order, minced pork with rice arrived quickly, however, my friend's yellow curry pork neck rice has been missing, we checked with the staff at 12:20PM and she claimed it is in order. I see 2 other tables who arrived much later than us have already been eating.

After waiting for 30mins, the dish finally came and the staff said the order was missing hence delayed.

Unfortunately, the entire yellow curry pork necl rice has TURNED BAD!!!! The curry sauce is SOUR, the meat is also SOUR!!!! We told the staff about this and left the place immediately with my friend's empty stomach, as his lunch has delayed for 30mins and showed up with a SOUR DISH.

Cannot imagine the restaurant has turned into such services nowadays. When we left the restaurant, they just said sorry and continue with the usual busy lunch hour group of customers.

The food is so good. The lunch time, every item on the menu is $50. That is a steal. They have ranges of choices, rice, noodles, curry, a bit of Chinese dish. I keep coming here especially weekends. The vibe is chill and homey nothing too stylish at all but that’s the beauty of it. One of the best Thai food to experience.
