Seafood Restaurant right on Ma Wan Chung pier; don’t get deceived by looks, Wah Dao is a little gem tucked away from everything. They have an indoors and open air section - the latter is where you should head to and try get a table right by the water. You need to go to the main counter to place order from the menu or the live seafood on display. Servers and staff speak mainly Cantonese but you can get by with basic English plus the menus have English translation. They serve beer only (Tsing Tao or Blue Girl) but you can also take your own wine or hard liquor if you like. Food is hot and tasty, portions are generous and service is very prompt. We ordered two plates of chou fahn (fried rice), beef in oyster sauce and black pepper sauce, razor clams in black bean sauce, fried squid in spicy salt and shrimp in fried garlic, along with a couple of beers. All this came to around HK$ 840, which is very reasonable for 5 people who ate very well! The icing on the cake is the complementary van ride to and from the Tung Chung MTR - super experience and will definitely be...

Read moreWe went at 13.45 hours, were given a table and then the lady there started shouting at us to take our last order quickly. We were not even allowed to look at the menu properly..The lady was rude and bossy. I had elderly parents with me or would have walked out. The woman said the cook was leaving so order fast. The dishes arrived in 2..3 minutes..tasted extremely poor. The steam fish which is expensive was tasteless. It was obvious that they threw some sauces into the dishes and without it being fully cooked, they gave it to us. We were made to pay while eating, the staff left and there was no one when we left. I understand it's a local place, I have been to many. Been in HK for 30 years but shocked at this place.. Food quality bad, prices high and...
