Went here ages ago because I participated in a local tour by [程尋香港 Hide and Seek Tour] which started off at Kowloon Bay Station and ended at Camlux Hotel with afternoon tea included. The tour conducted in Cantonese was very interesting and we found out more about the past of Kowloon Bay. One of the old factories used to produce toys and Camlux hotel was a factory that made Camel Vacuum Flasks. (Basically a Hong Kong version of Thermos). Being a converted factory hotel, the rooms are spacious yet every corner of the building holds a hint of its former glory. CAMLUX is the first hotel in Kowloon Bay!!! Every hotel room has information on the former use of the room previously when it was part of the factory.
After touring the hotel, we had tea at Cafe 15. On each table, there is a Camel flask with coffee in it included with the tea set.
In the tea set, there were scones, sandwich, cookies etc.
Surprisingly the chocolate cheese pizza was quite good as well as the savoury items.
Will be back for dinner and see...
Read moreAs a dog owner, you'll find Cafe15 at the Camlux Hotel a great spot to visit. I went there with a few friends and our dogs on a recommendation for its pet-friendly policy - found it very welcoming!
The cafe has a relaxed atmosphere, filled with natural light and comfortable seating, making it suitable for a casual meal, a coffee break, or even a few hours of work. The staff are friendly, contributing to the cafe's laid-back feel, and they were accommodating to mine and friends' dogs, which is always a plus. We sat outside on the terrace patio and the cafe even provided water bowls for the dogs - it's a great space.
The food is tasty, fitting well with the overall easygoing environment. Whether you're staying at the hotel or just in the area, Cafe15 offers a nice, straightforward cafe experience that's especially appealing...
Read moreStumbled on this place on Saturday afternoon - it was empty except for us and the chef had even gone for lunch. The staff profusely apologised for the wait to order food. They didnt have sundaes, daily dessert or croissant despite them all being on the menu. Anyway we got the ham and cheese sandwich, served with crisps and salad, swiss chicken wings, similar to those from Tai Ping Koon, hot chocolate and ice milk tea. The hot drinks are served in double insulated cups which dont feel hot when you hold them. At the end, the staff gave us a free gelato ice cream and deliberately didnt charge us for a hot chocolate as well. Don’t know if it was the cute kids or an especially generous apology, but I’ll definitely be back to try the...
