This Cova branch is located on the LG level of Festival Walk and includes their pasticceria for take-away retail purchases as well as a caffe for seated meal, dessert and coffee service. The pasticceria is open from 11am to 8pm daily while the caffe is open from 8.30am to 10pm daily and includes a fair sized interior seating area as well as some open seating in a sectioned off part of the mall just outside the caffe take-away order station.

From the caffe take-away counter you order coffee and gelato which you can enjoy while browsing the mall. I like Cova's coffee. 15 years ago, it was the place to go for proper black coffee in Hong Kong. Now with the Third Wave, HK has many independent coffee roasters and artisanal coffee shops around the city so Cova isn't a critical go-to place. However, they still do good, nicely flavoured Italian roast coffee here.

I also like their gelato, which you can get at this branch (HK$46 - small, HK$62 - regular & HK$72 - large) served in cone or cup. My favourite is their pistachio, which has creamy, buttery in texture and with a very nutty flavour. It is really good for a mid day treat, particularly on hot...

I think this could be the worst Cova in Hong Kong. The attitude of all staff are the worst that I have seen in any Cova. Before you even step into the restaurant, they already used a very rough tone to “warn” you that you only have 90 mins of dining time.

Food quality is just so-so, could be better if compared to other Cova say the one in Lee Gardens.

Cleanliness is like 1/10 as there is ALWAYS leftover food or bread crumbs on the sofa seats!!

Staff is always urging you to order quickly, taking away your plates asap…

Environment is not worth the price to be honest, tables are less than 20cm apart. You could literally hear everything the customers next to you are talking about.

I would also NOT suggest to come here for breakfast. Portions are tiny, staff attitude is even worse than lunch hour, and again always “reminding” you that you only have time limit….come on this is not an all-you-can-eat restaurant!

Cova Management, please please train your staff ALL...

Atmosphere: We sat in the “self-serve seating” area which meant that it was basically Starbucks-type seating and you could buy the takeaway food and drinks and eat them there. It did smell like someone was smoking even though the mall is a no smoking area.

Food: The raspberry cake was bitter (like a raspberry would be), and the mango cake was amazingly sweet. The chocolate logo pieces were slightly bitter, but not a lot.

Drinks: The orange juice was ok, it was just normal orange juice which was completely fine. The hot chocolate was delicious, was already almost sweet enough for me and so I only needed 1 packet of sugar as opposed to most other stores where I would need 2 or more. Though the hot chocolate isn’t very hot; it was almost lukewarm...
