Located inside i.t. fashion store in Festival Walk, J.S. Foodies is a newly opened restaurant that sells western cuisines in Japanese style, such as pancakes, souffle pancakes (by Flippers), burgers, and coffee.
Similar to Flippers in Causeway Bay, J.S. Foodies has an interior design with a blue colour tone. I particularly like this massive burger sticker near the bar table.
We ordered a burger and pancake to share between the two of us. This Cheese Burger with caramelized onion is absolutely lovely! The bun was so fluffy with a crispy top, tomato and lettuce were fresh (not that I care as I hate veggies but just so you know :P). The beef patty was loosely held together, probably because it’s home made with fresh minced beef? The cheese was melted right to the point, but the caramelized onion kinda take away its shine. Make sure you ask for caramelized onion (for free) to enjoy your burger to its best flavour. Thick fries are just thick fries, but they were freshly fried and delicious.
We love this Caramel Brownie Pancake with Coffee Ice Cream dearly! It’s such a nice combination to have brownie, pancake and ice cream at the same time as a dessert to satisfy your three cravings. The brownie made a good and moist filling for pancakes. The caramel wasn’t overly sweet and was right to the point to give a sweet scent to the pancake. The coffee ice cream? Fantastic! It’s so enjoyable!! Not to miss out the caramelized nuts on the side, we swiped them clean quickly worrying that the waiters/waitresses would take away our plate before we had a chance to finish them.
It was a nice, filling and satisfying early dinner. The waiting time was just a few minutes when we got there at...
Read moreWent here ages ago. J.S. FOODIES is the new talk at Festival Walk as they serve souffle pancakes from Flippers and food from two famous joints in Japan .
They serve burgers and American pancakes from JS Cafe and JS Pancakes.
Luckily I have already tried the souffle pancakes at Flippers so decided to go for something different while everyone was having souffle pancakes and Hotcakes.
Started with the Mocha frappe and Jasmine bubble tea.
Both were a good start as they were not too sweet.
For mains, had the seafood pasta as I didn't feel like having a burger.
The angel hair pasta was tossed in a rich tomato sauce that had chunks of tomatoes with a prominent sweetness and tangy aftertaste.
As for the seafood, there were prawns, mussels and scallops.
For dessert, I had the seasonal French Toast which looked more like a loaf of bread toasted and topped with strawberries and cream!!!
The French toast was crispy and caramelized on the surface and inside it was soft and fluffy.
Everything was in harmony especially the strawberries and whipped cream, then there was the icecream and cream cheese which all went well in terms of ratio of toast to filling.
Definitely great for sharing as the portion is quite big. J.S. FOODIES is a great place to meet up for desserts because there are so much choices and Kowloon Tong is just where all the youngsters are with...

It is a very bad experience in the Festival Walk. Although the food quality is good, the service is not acceptable.
I ordered a burger, a set for kid, a drink and dessert. When I ordered these, the waiter had no intention to ask if the dessert after the main dishes. It may be a common sense for ppl that the dessert go after the main.
BUT!!! It is not the common sense for the waiter in this restaurant, sad... The dessert arrived nearly at the same time as the main dishes. The dessert is a warm pancakes with an ice cream. It is non-sense that we have to having the main dishes and the dessert AT THE SAME TIME!!! We were shocked and seeked help from the waiters. The waiter said it is not possible to put back the warm pancake and the cold ice-cream in fridge. He cannot help and put down the dessert to us again.
NO SOLUTIONS...
WE WERE SHOCKED...
Having the ice-cream first, and the buger becomes cold. Or otherwise, having the buger first, the ice cream MELT and the pancakes become COLD!!! WHAT WOULD YOU CHOOSE?
It's really a horrible experience... We having the main and dessert together quickly.
I won't go there again and it is NOT...
