Kam Lee Loy — Restaurant in Kowloon

Fantastic value for money authentic no-frills family owned seafood restaurant, full of locals. The only seafood restaurant in Lei Yue Mun that is a “one stop shop”, which means you DO NOT have to bring your own seafood bought separately elsewhere and then negotiate a cooking fee (which means in all other Lei Yue Mun restaurants you can be ripped off twice). Good seafood menu, food beautifully cooked. Outstanding green vegetables. Menu with English sub-titles was available. Small with unpretentious decor. Outstanding VFM. Highly recommended. Take Coral Sea ferry from Sai Wan Ho ferry pier (5 min walk from Exit A Sai Wan Ho MTR) to Sam Ka Tsuen (Octopus cards accepted), then a 5 minute clockwise walk round the typhoon shelter and it’s at the bottom of the steps slightly to your left at the start of the main Lei Yue Mun seafood drag Check opening hours: we ate there...

The seafood is not fresh...I'd say very bad quality... Dishes like seafood soup and abalone have weird smell and the fried mantis shrimp is dry like chips. Although the price of the seafood set is affordable (~$400 per head) compared to other restaurant nearby, I wouldn't take the risk of being sick for a slightly lower...

The seafood there is great! We had lobster cheese noodles, fish, gai lan vegetable, and so much more. They were all delicious, absolutely delicious. I went there twice in a week because it was so good.
