The Picture House — Restaurant in Sai Kung District

Everything you would expect from a bar that, sadly has slipped towards thinking it is a restaurant and therefore can charge restaurant prices. If you can get over that I'm sure you will enjoy it here.

Apparently my critical comments are "odd". Not an attitude I would have expected from the owner, given that it is honest feedback from a customer that has helped service this establishment for many years.

Well, regardless of whether the respondent finds them odd or not (although you don't specify exactly why you find my review odd) isn't the nature of a review in essence to critique a place? If TPH don't like to see reviews that contain anything other than positive praise then I suggest you stop reading them, or at least stop replying.

Maybe instead of me saying restaurant prices I should have been a bit more critical, accurate, and said, "hotel prices" , which is nearer the truth. Presumably the owner meant "we went pure gastro", and not 'sent pure gastro', which I found to be a truly odd comment.

Anyway, judging from the reply, if you're (TPH) doing that much on food you obviously don't want or need my custom, or that of anyone who provides a touch of reality in the form of constructive criticism. But thanks anyway...

Waitress attitude so bad , I wonder how she services to costumers . Poor attitude . I am deaf and clearly asked for advice which drinks was for happy hour, but they later changed and charged high. Guess they think costumers stupid . I feel like shouldn’t have been there due to their stupid happy hour ad , waitress ‘s ugly attitude toward me. I don’t care for how much , unfortunately they so different communicate with expats vs locals . So interesting sight ! Better fix ur waitress ‘s attitude ! Drinks okay but...

Arrived at the Picture House after a fairly challenging and sweaty hike and were thoughtfully seated outside at a respectful distance from sweeter smelling guests! Ordered the risotto stuffed peppers and my friend ordered the coconut chicken salad. Food arrived quickly, and looked like healthy portions. My friend and I intended to eat half our meals and take the rest to go, but unfortunately they were so good we cleaned our plates!
