Updated Review: Finally a decent iced mocha! After all these years, Reactors coffee is still going. The venue hasnt changed at all. Could do with some decor, as the outdoor seating is very plain. I sat down inside so I can look out the window, but was soon told it is staff area (no signs or clues suggesting it was) Anyways it took awhile for a coffee, but was worth the wait. The Iced "oat" Mocha (most HK cafes don't have Soy) The roast was from Degree 220 a Hong Kong Roastery using a blend of beans from Columbia, Sumatra and Brazil. It definitely has a nutty aroma, with a chocolaty note. Almost no bitter aftertaste. It was set with large iced cubes, so it didn't get watery till the end. I'm not used to oat, but I didn't mind at all. It was finished with a chocolate powder. It was on the pricey side for an iced drink at $64hkd ($12aud).. Actually more expensive than Australia! ⭐ 4.6/5

They have muffins and scones - but lacking the cream.. Muffins and scones go well with...

So everyone who likes full-bodied coffee products is at the right address here. The breakfast (standard with bagel upgrade) was very tasty, they use fresh ingredients that are selected with care (the cherry tomatoes had a nice, sweet flavor while being fresh and crunchy;the sad was very fresh and well-prepared, as was the grilled mushroom.) Everything was served well and at the right temperature. The service person asked how we liked the food, so they seem to care sincerely about customer...
Read moreThis coffee shop in Shatin's City One neighborhood was a surprise find when we stayed at ALVA hotel nearby for a pandemic staycation. We have since come back to both places repeatedly, because it's a great way to rewind in a no frills everyday place outside of the busy city centre. Reactors Coffee has amazing scones and a very good value for money breakfast with perfect scrambled eggs. Bonus: there's an MTR faresaver machine right...
