Manner Coffee — Restaurant in Shanghai

We did come by here to try out the coffee besides the other two coffee chains that we had frequented (do checkout my earlier reviews on which these coffee chains are) since the outlet is located near our hotel. Ambience was ok, bright, and spacious.

When we were there, we were requested to place our orders by scanning the QR code that didn't work (after several attempts and then the staff tried too but failed and took our orders manually). As a result, time had wasted and it took quite a while for the staff to prep our drinks since he was the only staff around. Slow service.

As for the beverages, we ordered the standard coffee, latte and they were quite dilute and light (not flavourful, not to mention not thick or rich in taste). No aroma too. A little disappointing as we have had some expectations before coming in. (although the price was ok on par with its other counterparts)

An awfully dishonest shop, bought 3 packets of coffee beans from Manner taobao online shop. After a international delivery to my country, I only received one packet. The online shop employee refuse to acknowledge their mistake, insist I either absorb the cost or go look for it with my family member. Go where exactly to look for it? China?

For any English speaker who read this, skip this chain and go somewhere else, imagine what they'll cheat you off in person.

PS, just read that the Manner employee threw grinded coffee at their customer, not exactly surprising. Save yourself a stained shirt and go have luckin...

Visited the outlet along WuJiangLu. Manner Coffee is everywhere, nearly in every shopping mall in Shanghai. Got a hot latte and understood why because its really rich & fragrant! They also do delivery so there is quite a wait for a cup of coffee even if the shop looks almost empty. Also tons of bread options available, saw many locals grabbing them to go too.
