Koi Kei Bakery is the most popular pastelaria in Macau with branches scattered throughout Macau, including a couple of shops along Rua do Cunha in Taipa Village. Opening hours are 10am to 10.30pm daily.
This is a great place to try Macanese speciality snack foods, all of which are pretty good. I like their braised meats (bakkwa), which come in a number of flavours. Black-pepper pork is my favourite. They also make very good almond cookies, Phoenix rolls, peanut and ginger candies amongst other snack foods. You can try free samples of most of their product lines before deciding what to buy.
What I also like about this big Koi Kei branch on Rua Do Cunha are their Phoenix Roll, Almond Cookie and peanut candy stations, where visitors to watch staff preparing these foods for guests. Feel free to take pictures. It is neat experience whether you buy foods at Koi Kei or not.
