You will find the Museum of Taipa and Coloane History along Rua Correia da Silva in Taipa Village. It is open from 10am to 6pm and entry is free. The museum is located within the teal-coloured Portuguese style building that was used for local administration and dates back to the 1920s.
There are seven exhibition galleries which span through local history including archaeological digs and evidence of habitation dating back to the Neolithic period, pre-colonial history, the introduction of the Portuguese, early Portuguese building excavations under the museum, local fishing and important firecracker industries of late 19th as well as 20th century administration and integration of Taipa and Coloane with the peninsula and how this area formally became part of Macau.

Read moreA nice place for travelers who like learning something new, especially the history and culture of the place you're in. You can learn the history and transition of living styles in Macau since the discovery and development of there with pictures, videos, real stuff, and even 3D figures. Also provides fully detailed explanations of the exhibits in 3 languages; English, Portuguese, and Chinese(traditional). There is a vending machine that sells souvenirs and a stamp zone where you can leave some exclusive stamps on the papers you have. Understandably, chairs, air conditioners, and accessibility are served. I recommend this place, and the admission is free of charge. Registration is unnecessary, you just go inside right...
