I have always wanted to try this place as they serve vegetarian cart noodles.
The famous broth at this place is laksa while the topping is the [Potato Slices].
As it was my first visit, it was really hard making up my mind as I wanted to choose everything so I reduced it down to four choices.
I was also having a hard job deciding on which noodle as they all seemed good.
I was really fortunate the guy spotted my choice of broth didn't go well together because I was supposed to tick laksa but ticked satay broth by accident as they both have SAND in the Chinese character.
While I was waiting, I was given some soup.
The noodles were pretty impressive especially the broth which was strong and flavourful without meat.
The mock beef belly was really good because there was a hint of black bean in the gravy.
The star of the show was the potato slices which were basically Australian Potato Scallops.
Australian Potato scallops do not contain scallops, they are fried slices of potato tat are covered in batter.
The potato slices were pretty good, only one of them was slightly hard in the middle.
Will definitely be back to try the other toppings...
Read moreA very local, cozy, small and down-to-earth vegetarian cart noodle store. It's hidden in a very small alley way which I almost missed the turn, and I feel so lucky to have managed to found it in the end.
There is no fancy decor with just three round basic tables but yet the place is very clean and net.
Like a normal cart noodles, you can pick your own toppings, soup base and noodles type. I ordered 3 toppings but the most tasty was the "veg duck", it's basically fried bean curd, it's was so crispy and soaked up the "beef brisket" soup bas that I ordered. If you think vegetarian food is bland, then for sure you need to try this place.
Food was served very quickly as well,.so it's a good option if you want something quick and tasty.
Would go back again for sure. Highly...
Read moreQuite hard to find because it's down a small alley but totally worth looking for. Vegetarian cart noodles is their specialty and they do it really well. If you're after something healthy, this is probably not the best choice, go get an acai bowl. But if you're sick of bland vegetarian dishes and you want something really tasty, this is a great choice. Their 'beef' balls and 'spam' are really good. If you like your soup spicy, you should try the laksa. The owner said they bring it in from Singapore. The little jar of chili sauce on the table has an interesting flavour and is deceptively hot. Really...
