El Celler — Restaurant in Barranquilla

Elegant place. Upon arrival great reception and service (as is with most places in Colombia). Tried the mini burger and the duck carpaccio as appetizers. Burger was juicy and delicious. The duck melts in your mouth, it's a new level of duck deliciousness. Then the main course, cochinillo (suckling pig) and the solomillo. The pig was juicy and crispy skin. Very big portion. Although i had better cochinillo at Varadero, but still delicious. The potato chips were crispy bit missing some salt. Solomillo was perfectly cooked, soft and juicy. All in all delicious. The papas criollas are awesome. Another thing, food was served quick. Service is awesome. I would recommend this place...

One of the worst if not the worst service ever received... they don't care about the customer. There were many waiters but they never paid attention to us or ask us if we like the food or service, also when we complained about the service and the food they didn't even acknowledge anything, not even a sincere apology. The food was basic.... the "pulpo a la gallega" was really basic nothing special for a restaurant... you can prepare it better at home... the risotto was ok but basic again nothing special... the best dish was the pork belly tacos the flavors were elevated but even then they were dry and...

This place will take you to a new level on your gastronomic path. Their menu has something for every person, and a well crafted cocktail for each occasion. Don't she afraid to try anything from here... feel free to even let them choose for you. But whAtever you do, make sure you get the mini burgers.... yep! That's right...They are the bomb.

As for families goes, I think is ok to take little ones here..But the reality is that the atmosphere here is more for a romantic date, or group of friends.....
