Fantastic experience in a place with a very eclectic decor. Inspired in food and ingredients from the different regions in Colombia. They are able to provide one with flavors from the coast, the valley, the planes and the mountains.
I went with my wife for a romantic dinner, and we had a great time. Upon arrival, we were greeted by the waiter, who explained the whole thematic of the restaurant to us. What is funny, is that he asked us to call him Anaconda. This has to do with the fact that the theme of the restaurant is very jungle like.
The decor is also jungle like with lush forests on the ceilings and sculptures of different tropical jungle animals.
We had a bunch of appetizers instead of entrées, I think this is the best way to try all of the dishes. We specifically loved the empanadas and the pipian rolls. We also liked the Soata caiman which is dates wrapped in bacon with a delicious Paipa cheese sauce.
The cocktails were fantastic. In particular we enjoyed one called with the heart in your hands, which is made with tequila and is served in a container with the shape of a heart.
The service was fantastic. The waiter was very diligent with all the explanations of the plates and ingredients. He was also very helpful in making the accommodations for my wife, gluten free and dairy free.
Compared to other Colombian restaurants, it is a little bit pricey, but tends to be worth it.
Overall, a great experience I would...
Read moreThis restaurant is tucked away in the Polo neighborhood, up and coming artist space. It sits on the second floor of another great restaurant. You will be transported to the Amazon by its decoration and experience flavors in their purest form. Try anything on the menu, you will not be disappointed. I had the sancocho, which is only available on weekends and holidays, cooked over a wood fire, it brings back childhood memories of visiting my grandparents and trips to the river. The coco caribeño was a great finish. Get some recs if you don’t know what to choose. And then prepare to have a religious experience. Say hi to David Anaconda, who’s an...
Read moreCame on a Friday evening with the team for a business dinner and one of the worst service I have experienced. After waiting for 45 mins after asking for water for 3 times, we decided to go to the bar to get the bottles ourselves as they seemed incapable of getting it. Drinks took over 1 hour to arrive. We have ordered food around 45 mins back, no idea when we will get the food now. Paying such costs for this service is such a regrettable experience. And it's supposed to be an experience restaurant...
