I recently had the misfortune of dining at Restaurante La Casa de Socorro, and I must say it was an absolute nightmare from start to finish. Not only did they scam me out of my hard-earned money, but they also served me food I never even ordered.

From the moment I walked in, I had a bad feeling. The ambiance was mediocre at best, with dim lighting that seemed to be hiding the true state of the place. I decided to give it a chance anyway and ordered what I thought would be a decent meal.

Little did I know, that would be the beginning of my terrible experience. After waiting for what felt like an eternity, my order finally arrived. To my shock, it wasn't anything close to what I had ordered. Instead of the steak I had requested, they served me a soggy and tasteless pasta dish. It was clear that they had messed up my order, and I was already disappointed.

When I tried to bring this to the attention of the waiter, they were completely dismissive and unapologetic. They insisted that I had indeed ordered the pasta, which was an outright lie. It was as if they were trying to gaslight me into believing I was wrong.

But the worst part was yet to come. When the bill arrived, I was horrified to see that I had been charged for both the incorrect pasta dish and the steak I never received. It was as if they were intentionally trying to overcharge me and take advantage of the situation. When I confronted them about this blatant scam, they pretended not to understand and simply shrugged it off.

I left Restaurante La Casa de Socorro feeling not only cheated but also disgusted by their unethical practices. It's clear that this establishment has no respect for its customers and is more interested in making a quick buck than providing a quality dining experience.

I urge anyone considering dining at Restaurante La Casa de Socorro to think twice. Save yourself the disappointment, frustration, and financial loss by avoiding this scam of a restaurant at all costs. There are plenty of other reputable and honest establishments in the area that deserve...

La Casa de Socorro, a Treasure of Caribbean Flavor in Cartagena In the heart of Cartagena, where history and flavor meet at every corner, we discovered La Casa de Socorro, a restaurant that promises and delivers an authentic culinary experience of the Colombian Caribbean. Judging by our visit, it's a must-stop for anyone looking to savor the true essence of the local cuisine. Our table was a feast of treasures from the sea and land, each dish presented with a simplicity that highlights the quality of its ingredients. Dishes Tasted: Refreshing Mixed Ceviche: We started with a vibrant ceviche. The mix of white fish, shrimp, and tender octopus chunks was incredibly fresh, marinated in a citrus juice with hints of cilantro and peppers. Served with two large, crispy patacones, it was the perfect appetizer to whet our appetite and transport us directly to the coast. * Tender Octopus on Creamy Purée: The next dish was a pleasant surprise: perfectly cooked octopus, tender and full of flavor, served on a generous bed of what seemed to be cassava purée. The combination of the octopus's smoky flavor with the smooth, creamy texture of the purée was simply spectacular. Classic Meat with Local Flavor: For those who prefer meat, we tried a grilled cut that was juicy and perfectly cooked. Accompanied by a fresh salad and the inevitable golden patacones, this dish demonstrated that La Casa de Socorro has mastered the flavors of both the land and the sea. Final Verdict: La Casa de Socorro is more than a restaurant; it's a celebration of Cartagena's rich gastronomy. Each dish was full of flavor, freshness, and tradition. If you're looking for a memorable meal with generous portions and authentic Caribbean flavor, don't hesitate to visit them. A place to return to and continue exploring their delicious menu.

Really wanted to like this place. I saw lots of great reviews online, so I took a taxi to see if it was good. I’m in town to scope out locations for a wedding, and wanted to try out places to recommend to guests.

The location is good if you’re in walking distance, but difficult to get to by taxi.

When we got there it was pretty empty. The restaurant was set up weirdly. They sat everyone with three or less people in one part of the restaurant and groups of four or more in another part. This meant that 8 tables shared three servers, while our part of the restaurant only had one server for 10 tables. Our poor server was running around trying to do everything. Others in our section were also visibly confused when huge groups that sat down way after them got their food out first. I had to wait 15 mins to get a spoon for my soup!

The food was good, not amazing. My cazuela was good, but certainly not the best I’ve ever had. Funny enough the best food that we had was the chicken.

The service was fine our server was nice, just slammed, maybe only come here with a bigger group. It is wheelchair accessible,...

La Casa del Score in Cartagena offers an exceptional culinary experience that deserves high praise for its outstanding food. The dishes were a delightful mix of flavors, showcasing the chef's creativity and commitment to quality ingredients. Each plate was beautifully presented and delivered an authentic taste of Cartagena, making it a true highlight of our visit. However, while the food was impeccable and worth every bite, the service fell short of expectations. The restaurant appeared to be understaffed, leading to delays in orders and slower service throughout the evening. Although the staff was friendly and courteous, it was evident they were stretched thin, which impacted the overall dining experience. Despite the service challenges, the incredible food makes La Casa del Score a must-visit for anyone who values exceptional cuisine. We hope to return and experience it again, hopefully with more attentive service that matches the high standards of their kitchen. Food: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Service: ⭐⭐⭐

Looking for a good meal, we wandered into this restaurant and were pleasantly surprised! Our host, Catherine, expertly recommended dishes that my cousin and I thoroughly enjoyed. We started with the incredible smashed fried plantains (though I can't recall the specific name) and fried blue fish. My cousin ordered a refreshing passion fruit drink, while my mango and passion fruit blend was, I must say, a winning combination. For our main courses, my cousin had the flavorful shrimp in garlic sauce served with coconut rice, lettuce, and those delicious smashed plantains. I opted for the snapper, which also came with coconut rice, salad, and smashed plantains. Catherine was also incredibly thoughtful, offering to charge my dying phone. Overall, I had an exceptional experience at this establishment. As an added bonus, the bathroom was clean and modern, and the entire restaurant was refreshingly cool – a real treat in Colombia! A best deal, all this food came up to $54.00 tip not included.
