My visit to El Beso transcended expectations, thanks in no small part to the culinary mastery on display and the exemplary service spearheaded by Jonathan. This establishment not only won me over with its delectable dishes but also with some truly exceptional drinks that deserve a spotlight of their own.

Jonathan, more than just a server, became the maestro of my dining experience. His drink recommendations were as spot-on as his food suggestions, each beverage complementing the meal in a manner that can only be described as artful. These were not just drinks; they were crafted experiences, blending flavors in ways that both surprised and delighted.

The shrimp ceviche, a dish I approached with hesitation, turned out to be a revelation, thanks to Jonathan's persuasive recommendation. This restaurant is one of the best places I have EVER eaten!🔥 Friends and I were visiting Cartagena for a few days after coming to Colombia for a wedding. On the last day, after having delicious food every day we wanted something new.

We went to El Beso randomly after seeing such great reviews. IT DID NOT DISAPPOINT! Having been in the food industry for over 10 years and tasting my fair share of good food. I can with out a doubt say El Beso is something else. With every bite I was moaning out loud truly enjoying every minute of every bite. Then in between bites looking forward to the next but also mourning the last I had and knowing with each bite came a little bit of sadness since I knew the end was near.

I had the shrimp tacos, the French toast, and the shrimp roll, and each and every one was a must have! The French toast though made me tear up from how delicious it was! I am not one to review a restaurant so highly but honestly I have nothing bad to say. If I had the money I would invest in this place and bring it to America just to be selfish and go every day.

El Beso you are doing everything right and never stop doing it! Next time I am in town (and trust me I hope it’s soon) I will be coming here every morning and night! Our server Luis, was incredible and couldn’t tell that it was his second day! Luis you KILLED IT!🔥🫶

Not enough words can describe the experience we had at El Beso. We were welcomed by the very professional and attentive staff and immediately seated in the restaurant which had a great classic colonial atmosphere. Right away, we felt we were at the right place. If you have the chance to take the whole menu, go for it and don’t think twice. The portions were great for sharing and I advise you to do so because you do not want to miss a dish! I wish I had enough appetite to taste every single dish. We started off with the corvina ceviche which was easily the best ceviche we’ve had. We also had the shrimp burger with papas criollas, the camarones al ajillo and the chicharron de corvina.

The chefs did an astounding job executing those dishes and are clearly knowledgeable in culinary arts. We could clearly taste the precise attention to details and balance in flavours. The quality of those ingredients and the mastery of the cooking methods resulted in fish with perfect texture and a taste natural to Cartagena. Do yourself a favour and simply go and enjoy the experience they have ready for you.
