Since I can not respond to your reply directly let me respond here. Yes it was an accident and had the staff made an attempt at any point during the night to be nice it would have not been such a big deal. No it was more than 10% and my co worker has the receipt. Second it was not about compensation but the attitude shown by your staff. No the problem was not addressed as we cleaned up most of the mess and she left a puddle of beer under the table. The fact that you are trying to make it sound like I am in the wrong makes the situation worse. Your manager made it very clear she did not care that we would not be coming back and your response just solidified my decision.
The food was mediocre at best and normally I would go back and give another try but…. The customer service was so horrible that I needed to review it. I don’t generally review places unless they are stellar. If I have a bad experience I just don’t go back and call it a day. The level of rudeness and zero f:&$! Given was incredible almost impressive. The waitress proceeded to knock over an entire beer bottle over and spilled beer on my laptop and backpack that was on a chair as it was a work dinner. She slowly and begrudgingly brought over some napkins as my co-worker attempted to clean up the mess. She left the puddle of beer under our table leaving a nice sticky residue on my boots. No apologies, almost seemed upset at us because she clearly wasn’t wanting to work which she had no problem hiding since the moment we got there. We finish up our meals then ask a few time for the check. By the way she never came to check on us or ask if we wanted refills. We take a look at the check and see that they automatically tacked on 25% tip which you see in larger groups (4 of us only) I proceed to ask if she felt the charge was appropriate considering what happened. Not looking for a free meal but at least let us decide the tip amount or discount a beer. She then looks at me “ do you want a discount or something ?” She tells me to wait and goes and talks to the manager who was sitting at a table whilst this commotion was happening. Supervisor comes over and ask so what happened. Clearly she should have know but I proceeded to tell her that that beer was spilled on my bag and my laptop and now have sticky boots. Supervisor “ accidents happen” she then proceeds to stare at me and tells me she gave me a free beer when she replaced the beer that was spilled by her waitress. The original beer I paid for. It was obvious this Karen was the boss of all Karen’s. My co worker tells her it’s fine we just won’t come back and she looks and says okay. All we were looking for was an apology and acknowledgment of what happened. I’ll make sure I send a bill for a new laptop and cleaning services. I have try to match that same zero cares attitude. Don’t eat here, heaven forbid they drop a candle and light you on fire and increase the tip for having to call...
Read moreThis place is good for local paisa food. Their bandeja paisa, cazuela de frijoles and their chicharrón are very good. Portions are ok, not too big or small. Edit: portions are quiet small now in comparison to what they used to serve in the past. It seems that in order not to increase the price significantly they have cut on portions. Waiters are dressed in typical country side clothes of the area. Their staff is friendly. Make sure you come with enough time, it is a busy restaurant and times can be slow. Highly recommend it. They are other locations in...
Read moreDespite of being at Medellin is unusually hard to get a taste of well made traditional cuisine; there are popular overrated places that taste regular like M*s and places like at the plaza de.comidas in pueblito paisa where is a lottery; at hacienda you get a good general grasp of the traditional dishes, good quality and flavors and always consistent, the place is ambiented like a traditional "Hacienda", and the staff dresses traditional costumes; if you aim to have a traditional day at Medellin maybe you should aim...
