From the time I arrived at the door I received immediate attention and quality customer service from John who greeted me as I approached the entrance. I felt truly welcomed, everything I needed to know was explained thoroughly and the check-in process was quick. I was offered a refreshing beverage and I was assisted with my bag as John escorted me to my room. I very impressed and as I entered the spacious suite, The kitchen was clean and well equipmed. The bed linens were clean and the bed was comfortable. The balcony overlook the parking lot where you can here the birds singing in the trees. My first impression was that I had made a good choice....but then...||||When I opened the bathroom door my enthusiasm for choosing this hotel began to dissipate. There was a very strong smell of soap scum coming from the shower and the shower tiles had a yellow buildup from not being cleaned properly over time. I am not usual one who complains about a stray hair here or there because this could have shed from the housekeeper as they go about their difficult and time restrictive lduties. However, this bathroom had long hairs on the floor, in the shower, on the toilet paper holder, and even in the toilet which had a paper band taped over it to signal it had been cleaned. There were short hairs on the faucet handles and spigot as if someone had shaved and these areas were not cleaned afterwards. This was a bit disappointing because everything else seemed so good up to this point, but the shortcuts taken by housekeeping in the area I need to be the cleanest reduced my overall satisfaction greatly. ||||The staff in the restaurant were very kind and patient with my limited ability to speak Spanish. They were attentive during the meal and wished me a good day as I departed. Breakfast was OK, no frills. ||||At check out, I had to wait for housekeeping to check the minibar and inspect the room which, as a frequent traveler, I had not experienced before. Not a big issue but I kind of felt like a child waiting for my mom to see if my room is clean before being allowed to go out and play. Just something to keep in mind if you are used to dropping your key and exiting without delay. Give yourself extra time in case housekeepting takes a while to get to your room. ||||I thought I had paid through booking and the clerk mentioned nothing at checkout, but when I returned home, I received an invoice from the hotel. I wish I would have been asked to pay while on site or warned that I should expect this email because I don't read Spanish and the email came from a company with a different name so I almost marked it as junk. The billing site is also in Spanish so not easy for me to figurer out. ||||The good things about this place are really good. If they can provide better training/oversight for housekeeping and get buy-in from them since they can truly make or break the experience for clients, it would make a...
Read moreI stayed seven nights in the standard suite. The room was quite large, with the king size bed and the couch. There was the working desk, the kitchen, a plenty of storage places, many lights appropriately placed, a huge window facing the back street (my suite was on the 4th floor). Another benefit was that I could open the window and get a fresh air into the room.|The bathroom was maybe on a smaller side, but it didn’t bother me much. All amenities worked properly, with enough water pressure. |The kitchen was large, I could cook there if I wanted to. There was the safe in the room. TV had a lot of different channels, many more of what you get usually.|My room was very clean. The housekeeping did a good attentive job with daily cleaning. Everyone from the staff that I spoke to (even with my broken Spanish) was very friendly and welcoming. The front desk spoke some English. I did not have any problems communicating.|The included breakfast was adequate. They also had an egg station with omelets and other egg dishes cooked to order. There is a small outside patio, you can eat the breakfast outside if you want to.|I liked the location. It is a relatively flat area on Carrera 43A, a short distance to two large shopping malls (Oviedo and Santafe), around 15-20 min walk to Parque de El Poblado, 25-30 min walk to Poblado metro station (or you can take a taxi for 10k pesos). I used Cabify but there was a plenty of Uber or taxis available as well in the hotel area.|I enjoyed my stay. The only thing to keep in mind is a soundproofing. Sound travels here, from inside and from outside. It is not super noisy and not quiet either. I brought ear plugs and used them. But on the bright side I could keep windows open at night, thanks to ear plugs.|I would stay here again. Recommended. 4...
Read moreOur first experience exceeded our expectations-location, service, room size all were wonderful during our 15 night stay. The hotel is just off the main highway but sits back behind other buildings bordered by a small street and trees, the front entrance faces a small street away from the main highway, so there there is buffer from noise and congestion.||LeBlon belongs to EE Hoteles so there is a professionalism and organization that you see with all the staff – the 24 hour reception, the front entrance guardian, the amazing restaurant and housekeeping staffs are all eager to please and to assist with any question.||We had a room on the 8th floor and had chosen this hotel partially for the larger room size since our stay was longer. We had plenty of room to walk around, good closet space and a large bathroom. The room was spotless and cleaned everyday, with much attention to items in plastic like the tv remote, the room key, even the writing pen. We had breakfast included and due to covid it was the only meal available in the restaurant, but it was a wonderful buffet every day. Amazing fruit, bread selection, two hot items that vary each day and your choice of egg or omelet, plus coffee, chocolate or tea. You have a choice to sit inside or on the outside patio, which we took advantage of when it was not raining.||The staff helped us with cabs, airport transportation and our covid testing before returning to the US. There are plenty of restaurants and malls nearby and the main highway is just a few steps away – you can walk down to the corner or cut through the parking garage.||Highly recommended – we would definitely...
