Costa? Yeah, Costa-lot. Whilst the coffee was adequate, it wasn’t anything special, and for a coffee shop I find that the menu is quite limited and archaic. They should really consider adding newer more innovative products (matcha for example) and their overpriced, simple coffees are becoming obsolete by fast growing competitors, namely greggs that is literally 3 doors away, or starbucks that are littered all over Birmingham. The food again, was nothing special and overpriced. The atmosphere was okay? But its one stop so… its as good as it can be when hoodlums and homeless people are swarming around you. Genuinely wouldn’t recommend Costa-lot, not because i think its bad, just because they arent giving you a luxury service when their prices are luxury in comparison to their competitors. As for service, staff are always nice, however tables aren’t regularly cleaned and it’s usually up to customers to clear tables to have a decent seat. Toilets are a bit smelly but again, its one stop, id rather use these one in comparison to the shopping centre ones that you can smell at the top of the of escalators 😭😭😭....
Read moreSo I went in store to do some work at 10 bought a drink and sat down. I planned on staying there for quite a while since I had a lot of work to do. So why is a member of staff telling me just before 2 that I need to leave because other customers want to sit down. Apparently there’s a one hour sit in rule however I’ve seen so many people sit inside for hours and nobody says anything. I checked the website and there is no such thing of this policy either. I found it quite rude as I am a customer too and I had a drink and I just wanted to do work. It’s the red haired lady for clarification. I’ve been to many other costas and they have let me sit in for a while and not complain but her she was making up her own rules. And why are u telling me 3 hours later than I can stay for one hour. Read moreI went to Costa the atmosphere was good at first but then the polish manager got rude to me shouting in my face half the staff there are moody and don’t smile if you got stuff going on in your life don’t take it out on your customers specially if your a manager. The manager was unprofessional towards me and did not apologise for her mis-hearing and miscommunication think you need to hire a manager with respect
But other than that the only person that was a lovely and welcoming staff was Danny so thanks Danny for being the staff that has patience towards your customers unlike some of the staff...
