La Hendija Sabrosa — Restaurant in Alajuela

The food was great and the staff was friendly but while I was eating I saw not only one but 3 cockroaches walking on the floor and crawling on the walls, one of them even crawled literally on the side of my table, the waitress tried to justify herself saying that it went inside flying but I honestly doubt 3-4 cockroaches would have entered a busy restaurant like that ... It's a complete shame because the food was good but something like that it's unforgivable and...

The quality is not related to the price, they didn't clean the table, the coffee mug was dirty, the bathroom was dirty with a big cockroach, the place in general was not clean and that's not acceptable what so ever in the covit era. To top it all off the attention was terrible given me looks, stares and tones for my appearance, something you'll find in many costa rican restaurants and other services if you black or brown, stay away...

SUPER MALA EXPERIENCIA!!!! Para nunca más!!! Mi esposo y yo llegamos ayer con mucha ilusión por tener una nueva experiencia gastronómica. Desde que pusimos el primer paso ahí, las señoritas nos miraron, y de inmediato nos dieron la espalda, sin siquiera dar un saludo de cortesía. Lógicamente, por ser la primera vez, no sabíamos cuál era el orden a seguir. Si había que ordenar en caja, o el menú lo llevaban a la mesa. Nos sentamos, esperamos bastante tiempo, y en ningún momento nos volvieron a ver, menos darnos guía. Nos sentimos abochornados. Nos paramos, salimos, y todavía con asombro, volví a ver para atrás, a ver si alguna nos decía algo. Pues no pasó nada. Que hicimos? Nos fuimos para "Las delicias". Ahí si atienden como debe ser!!! Al momento que llegamos nos trajeron el menú y nos dieron un cordial saludo. Cabe mencionar que ahí no cobran el fresco aparte, en la hendija sí (que es muy caro, por cierto) y además dan delicioso postre.
