This place was one of our favorite finds in Cost Rica. We walked in without a reservation and the place was full but one of their staff, Eliam, was kind enough to offer us a seat in the wine room - which was air conditioned and not a bad option at all. In fact, we went with his recommendations for the night.

For starters we had the tuna tataki — thick slabs of some of the freshest tuna we’ve ever had, perfectly done and topped with mango and red onion which went super well with the Japanese soy.

Then we ordered 2 rolls:

The diablo roll’s tempura style breading was perfectly done - just the right thickness of batter and super crispy. The whole roll was a perfect medley of textures and flavors - jalapeño, eel sauce, cream cheese, avocado… yum!

The paradise roll really surprised me — the avocado, mango and salmon was mixed with beetroot sauce which gave some sweetness and then had a small piece of lime on top which gave the acidity but also a bit of bitter (because of the skin) — it was the perfect bite!

Everything was enhanced even more by the wasabi.

To be honest, we started out a bit skeptical about having sushi but were intrigued because clearly the seafood would be fresh. The quality of the food definitely did not disappoint, but what really made this place stand out was that they understood the concept of sushi as a dish but inserted a very local flavor profile and the fusion was fantastic.

On top of that the service was top notch and the place had a great vibe to it. We spent a total of US$50, which We are looking to come back to try the...

We went to Mosaic for a late lunch after a surf session. They were packed and could only accommodate us on one of the outside tables. I do not recommend that in the early afternoon because the sun beating down on those tables. Luckily after 10 minutes, we got a table in the shaded area that f the restaurant, still outside so no A/C, but in the shade.

The food is delicious. Everything we ordered was great. I especially recommend the Mosaic Roll, the paradise roll and the Greek salad. We also had the spicy salmon roll (wonderful, especially if you like spicy), the rainbow roll, the poke bowl with mango.

The watermelon smoothie is super refreshing. For dessert, the tempura bananas are amazing.

Only negative point to our visit, we had to wait quite a bit (at least 30 minutes) for the food. Our server said it was because the restaurant was especially full. The food is worth the wait...

Allright place with open outdoors climate on a partial gravel floor. About $8.00 for about 5 ounces of wine ?? Hmmm, good sushi, pleasant staff, but a major drawback was my first and only and probably last due to extremely loooonnng wait, about 50 minutes for the meal. I interrupted the hostess after about 20 minutes and asked kiddingly if they were catching the fish for my order and then after about 50minutes my hunger overtook me and I told them i couldn't wait any longer . Directly from the kitchen They boxed the food and i left !! I can't recommend any of my clients to go there and nor will i take any there. It was obvious something wasn't right but they failed to communicate that to their clientele. Much much better place ,FUEGO, 15 minutes North of Uvita in Dominical . or JUANITAS in Jaco or TAJO Cantina 10 minutes up in the...

Cozy place! We came for wine and appetizers. We had the coconut ceviche and tuna tataki. They were both great. The tuna was my favorite. I had a wine flight. It was 3 wines with two oz pours. The waiter picked a white, rose, and red for me. I LOVED them. I ended up buying a bottle of the red. I don’t remember the name, but it was from Chile. The service was great. For two appetizer, a flight of wine, a beer, a shot of chileguaro, and two bottles of wine… it was about $100. I think the prices here are reasonable for the deliciousness, great service, and wonderful wine choices. Yum! We will be back.

My favorite restaurant on this trip. Close to Uvita Waterfall, and only a 10-15 walk from Uvita Centro. You won't miss it, as they conspicuously advertise their kombucha. Sushi bar and restaurant, they have much more than sushi, but I was happy to get a roll. Absolutely delicious, good price, and the kombucha was a perfect refreshment after a day at the park. Great, casual atmosphere. Board games. Clean, music at a good level. Clean. Friendly staff that speak both English and Spanish. Small garden to lounge in. Highly recommended. Will definitely be returning.
