Our very first morning in S. Costa Rica after very little sleep. We googled you from our hotel (Hotel Faremiti UVITA) and learned a very good lesson: STAY LONGER IN UVITA!! Best kombucha & avo toast I’ve ever had in my life! And I am a Southern California and SE FL girl so I know my stuff! My husband does not care for avocado toast but after one bite of my 3-piece ensemble, he devoured another round!

Café VIVO is hands down one of the best spots in town. Their coffee is exceptional! Rich, smooth, and clearly made with love. But what really sets them apart is the food. The Gallo Pinto is the best I’ve had anywhere, and their Casado is always fresh, flavorful, and perfectly balanced.

The outdoor patio sits right by the creek, offering an incredible atmosphere to relax and take in the sounds of nature while you eat. Whether you’re just stopping in for a coffee or sitting down for a full meal, you can feel the love they put into everything they serve. A true gem in the heart of...

The best coffee in Uvita! Everything here is top quality and there are so many unique creative choices for drinks as well as healthy snacks. It's all organic! Update: The location of Tagua is now Cafe Vivo. The place has been remodeled and is absolutely fabulous. The covered section has tripled in size and the outdoor patio area which sits alongside a river has also been greatly improved with very comfortable seating. This coffee is still by far the best in town and everything is made fresh. Specialty coffee such as pour over, chemex, geisha and other choices are...
