Unfortunately I had a really bad experience- I've eaten here numerous times, specifically the chicken tacos. They decided to make a different chicken taco and not inform me. It was terrible, inedible and totally disgusting. i came home and got sick from it. It was only when I repeatedly mentioned it was different that I was told it was from the previous day- that they were trying to finish the food and not waste and that it was a different recipe. it was obvious I couldn't eat it so I left it unfinished and ordered fries as I was still hungry.... when i received the bill it included the terrible tacos!!! no customer wants to eat day old food. No customer wants to consistently order something, be given something different (day old), be made sick, be charged on top of it. Sorry but it was such a terrible experience!!!

*i do want to mention the service and atmosphere is nice but I was extremely unhappy and...

Went here three times during our stay in Puerto — it was that good. Drinks, food, vibes and service were all excellent. Best burger I’ve ever eaten outside the US, without a doubt.

The Kona burger and the Baja burgers were our favorites. The tacos were great, too, though we enjoyed the burgers more. The nachos and wings are killer — definitely go for the honey sriracha sauce, I would buy that stuff by the bottle if I could. Over the course of our three visits, we tried their margs, Caribbean punch, caipirinha, and mai tai. All were good, but the passion fruit caipirinha took the cake for me.

Each night has a different event/special going on. One day they had all-night happy hour, which made for the most affordable drinks we’d had in all of Costa Rica. On that same note, we found the prices at Tasty Waves just could...

I spent this past weekend at the hostel behind the restaurant with a group of around 15 friends. We originally planned on exploring other restaurants around the area but we just kept coming back because we loved it so much.

The food was INCREDIBLE and also really reasonably priced for the area. Although we were a large group the staff was super accommodating and they even set up a pong table for us the last night we were there and gave us a round of shots on the house.

You can tell the staff is like a family and they welcome newcomers easily. They gave us great advice about where to explore and what to see while we were in Puerto Viejo. Our server, Tegé, kept us laughing the whole night and made me feel right at home.

I would come back here again in...

This place is great! We were there for Thursday trivia night and 4th of July. Trivia night was so much fun! Very creative trivia and the owner hosts it. He's a fun and chill guy. Very funny and has an adorable dog Mia who prefers meat over French fries 🤣🤣🤣 I gave up half my burger to her cause it was hard to say no to those puppy eyes lolol American owned and themed, so if you're looking for some familiarity, this is your place! Great options and very tasty food. The mushroom burger and burrito were really good. Service is great and friendly. If you have a car, you can park on the grass across the street. Plenty of bike racks and a section for scooters too. There's also a tree right there where you might spot the resident sloth. Great music and atmosphere 👌

The restaurant is attached to a hostel and gives a super homey vibe. The desk receptionist connected to the hostel is friendly. There is also parking available. The food was not quite“tasty” as expected. It was a bit bland. Juxtaposed to the price it was bit disappointing. All the servers were friendly except the Caucasian American guy. I’m love dogs, but the resident dog(s) who roamed around the tables had an overwhelming off putting odour. I wasn’t able to finish my meal. I like that they are dog friendly for sure but some persons may not be open to having dogs while eating. The music was great, the space has a simple but artsy vibe. They also have television entertainment. Family friendly.
