El Social Morazán — Restaurant in Carmen

They didn't let my two black friends, which are here visiting from USA, go into the club with us. Without a reason, we all had appropriate clothes, IDs, and everything in order, the problem occurred just with them. It seemed pretty specific and racial.

*Amendment: our friends that were in the club spoke with the person that made the choice, he couldn't give a justification... After this, more than half an hour later, our friend and the guy look for us in the next club and told us we would be now accepted into the club, we decline firstly, so he offered free entry, after talking with my friends they comply to this. *

I don't know what was the motivation to this, a talk about discrimination consciousness would be a...

We went there without a reservation and according to them all the tables were reserved but had room at the bar (no seats) we didn't mind but for the hour or so that we were there no one sat at the "reserved" tables. Literally all the tables were empty while we were there. I thought it was rude of them to have us stand the whole time when we could've sat at a table until the people came (they never did while we were there). Also the staff was not friendly or attentive to us only to the few people that showed up. However the drinks and food were really great. The chicharon plate was the best Costa Rican dish we had. The bar had a cool vibe too. Just unfortunate the service...

My husband and I have had a bad time when we try to visit this place, we are tourists in Costa Rica, and we come to enjoy and spend money because it is a good destination. It turns out that we tried to go to dinner at this place and they didn't let us enter because we were wearing dress shirts and shorts, clothing appropriate for the climate we have in Costa Rica. I find this situation in bad taste, and we have traveled around the world, and we have never experienced this unpleasant situation. When you come to Costa Rica and want to visit this place, take your provisions, that's why I don't recommend...
